San Luis Rey Bakery And Restaurant

San Luis Rey Bakery did an outstanding job making my wife's birthday cake. I've never ordered here before and took a chance by ordering a custom cake over the phone. They knew exactly what I wanted and made helpful suggestions. The final product was ready on time and looked and tasted even better than expected at a very reasonable price. My wife had a fantastic birthday thanks to San Luis Rey Bakery. Thanks, guys!

Driven past for years and have never tried until today. Ordered the SLR special (online menu said 3 pancakes, 3 bacon or 2 sausage, 2 eggs, hash browns and toasted bread) for $11.95. we were hungry for a full breakfast so we ordered it. With Covid, everything is togo now, so didn't see the food until I got home. Disappointed, small over cooked pancakes, bacon was perfect and eggs were wet and the biggest, NO hash browns or toast. Called and was told the SLR special doesn't include HB or toast and I was just out because they don't offer them with the special. Too many other places offer larger pancakes and more food for the same price. Haven't tried anything other than the breakfast special, but I wouldn't recommend it (mcdonald's full breakfast is better).

The food was very authentic! Rise and beans that accompany the plates were definitely home made! The portions were just right and the freshness of the food was incredible, food came out in a timely manner. Lots to pick out from the bakery side. Only thing that could use improvement is customer service. The waiter was super friendly and very professional but did lag a bit on checking up to see if we needed anything. Other than that highly recommend it! This is us authentic as it's going to get! Good for crowds and kids! P.s avoid sitting by the door in the back dinning area and dining are could use some vacuuming
