Gourmet Artisan Oceanside

What a great new addition to downtown Oceanside ! I was at Gourmet Artisan yesterday with a friend and food was awesome. we ordered the lasagnas ans the tuna melt, both just perfect. I have to try the sweet crepes next time, I saw some passing by and it looked delicious, packed with fresh berries. (I told the super friendly owners I had to write a review to spread the word so here it is !)

Wonderful place in general if you are looking for the romantic feeling with your date I would suggest here as well as a very wonderful chef and cashiers I am a regular there I have seen plenty of great food and complaints because people don't ask what's in the food I went there one time and one lady was complaining about hummus I was very frustrated because of her. I was trying to tell my fiancee that no matter the restaurant you always have to ask what's interesting the food if you know anything about a restaurant and not to mention I work across the street so I see everything that goes on in there store because I like to people watch and I have not seen anyone but the customers grab their crotch the earlier comment I was in there at that time and is completely bogus I do love the store it's phenomenal. Granted at first I thought it was a dessert place but really nice food. Good job guys keep your head up. Bonjour

Wow !! This new spot in downtown Oceanside is awesome. I went there with a group of friends and everybody was really happy with their order. The pasta Alfredo and lasagna bolognese are bomb and we loved the pesto flatbreads that came with it. I tasted one of their sandwiches (owner's favorite I think), it was super fresh and perfect if you like prosciutto ham. Although the plates were generous we decided to share a crepe order with banana and nutella : yummy, we felt like in a french restaurant (Oh yeah, Adrian, the french owner is incredibly friendly 👍)

Croissant and strawberry tart were perfect, but beware. They only have coffeemate for the coffee. I asked for half and half or heavy cream and it seemed to confuse the gentleman helping me. They've only been open 3 weeks so they get a pass. The service was very friendly and prices were reasonable. I'll go back for lunch, but not for coffee.😁

Came here and got the garden wrap and pesto flatbread. The flatbread was alright. The garden wrap was the equivalent of a dry tortilla filled with chopped lettuce, a square slice of cheese, two slices of tomato and smothered in vinaigrette. It was supposed to come with hummus and avocado and instead they forgot to put the hummus on and put on two slices of avocado that were not ripe, pretty much I was very disappointed to get this for $7.50 when I could easily make this at my house for less than $3... I had already finished eating the wrap when I realized they forgot the hummus. I asked the manager if there was supposed to be hummus on my wrap and he says "no.. where did you see that?" So now I was second guessing myself as he goes to grab the menu and show me I'm wrong. He's pointing at the menu when he realizes right there on the menu it says it comes with hummus. You'd think they would know what's on their menu and how to make a simple menu item. My goodness. Then I explain that also the avocado wasn't even ripe... he offers me coffee or a soda which is something I definitely don't want. Then I ask for dessert to make up for it and instead of offering me any dessert I want he offers me a bowl of generic vanilla ice cream with Berries and chocolate. So I got a huge bowl of OK ice cream with about 4 or 5 small pieces of strawberry and a squirt of chocolate sauce.... I would've definitely rather had a crepe or a lemon bar but OK. I did not leave happy and would not come back. I could make a wrap ten times better at home for much cheaper. 👏🏻save yourself the trouble.
