Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar

My dad and I got takeaway one evening. This was my first Shucks experience, but won't be my last. The fish is prepared fresh to order. It is not overly salty which is a huge bonus too. The order was prepared for us within the time frame provided which made for an easy pickup. Thanks for a quality meal!

First time I've been to the restaurant side of this business. From the start we were treated very well. The two guys behind the bar seemed best friends working together and treated us great. The red crab linguini was fantastic, the lobster roll also was great with a generous amount of genuine lobster meat. Thanks for the great evening!

This is a cool little place. Nothing fancy but the Oysters were awesome. We had the round about, 2 of all the oysters which was great. The food was great. We had the Parmesan Crusted Halibut with mashed taters and asparagus. It was really really good. That what the special. You can also buy fresh seafood to take home. They have beer on tap and shuck the Oysters right in front of you at the bar. Definitely want to go back.

Returning to Lincoln and just off the plane in Omaha, the wife and I are looking for a bite to eat. We love seafood, but have yet to find a place that wows us in LNK. As I get on the 80, the wife says, “Hey, I found this place call Shucks,” and she proceeds to read off some menu items and I am sold. We pull in and the parking lot is busy for a Tuesday night; a good sign. I expected something low-key fancy, considering the menu items, but this place is homey and down to earth! We are seated right away and my eyes pop out of my head at the selection on the menu! Now here is where I get to the food! The selection of oysters is amazing for being in a triple-landlocked state; and they were delicious! The cocktail sauce is wonderful. The gumbo was rich and savory and the clam chowder, which I do not go out of my way for, was tasty goodness! I had the sea scallops with Angel hair pasta, and the wine sauce was delicate and complimentary to the beautifully cook scallops and vegetables. The wife had fish and chips and, again, cooked to perfection with, as the menu put it, a thin layer of batter. We figured since the rest of the meal was that good, we would go ahead and get dessert. The key lime pie was some of the best I’ve had in years; the right combination of tart and sweet. The wife had peach cobbler and it was light and yet a delight on the tongue. We live an hour away, but we will definitely return. And we can’t wait to tell friends and family that come to visit!

Went to Shucks for the first time as I had a hankering for seafood. Clam chowder was spot on. I decided to go with the whole Poboy. They flavors were there, but I couldn’t help but be disappointed in the portion size. The crab legs were wonderfully presented but neither of us enjoyed the rice that came with it. The highlight of the night was when we were provided crayons to draw on the table paper. You know… adult things. View count decides who did it better! Good experience we’ll be back.

Fast! I came in right at 2 and ordered fish and chips and stuffed mushrooms to go. The fish and chips were really good. I also enjoyed dipping the potatoes in the dip that came with the stuffed mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms were over priced and the stuffing was grainy in texture with no clumps of lobster as I had hoped.

Always good food for fish and seafood. Tuna poke includes just-right portion for lunch serving of raw tuna with dipping sauce, rice, seaweed and small mixed greens salads. Added side of Shucks always delicious baby cake potatoes-crunchy outside- soft inside. Lunch companion had her personal favorite of fried clam basket that includes the baby cakes and coleslaw Attentive 'just right' service to check on any needs.
