The dinner was wonderful! I'm very sad to report I confirmed they are closing this month due to supply issues. They are not ordering anything they run out of because they are closing, but even without the jacket fries, my 2 rib dinner with coleslaw was as always, absolutely delicious. If you have a chance in the next 10-12 days, go get a final meal from them. It was delicious but very bittersweet for me. A south omaha iconic restaurant will be closed soon. The staff was friendly as always. I will miss this place. Go while you can.

We sure miss eating in the restaurant. A gun carrying security guard, brings your food out to your car in front of the restaurant takes your money. Food was excellent oh, but we really miss going inside sitting down to enjoy our dinner had to eat it in the parking lot as we were at a motel miles away and we didn't want to see before we got home. Please bring back the indoor restaurant thank you.

We used to love going to Joe Tess. Mom and I always get the carp ribs well-done. The carp is farm raised so no fishy after-taste. I must admit we were disappointed though. The potatoes were soggy and they forgot the baked beans. Friendly service gets an A+. I hope the dining room opens soon! I did ask if they have scheduled an opening date yet, and was told simply "No".

SAME great taste I remember ENJOYING in a dine-in environment, but with the current take out only option it was just as AMAZING at home. 2 pieces of their Famous Fish with DELICIOUS jacket fries and baked beans was VERY filling!! I cannot wait to enjoy their dine-in option!! **PRO tip: ENSURE you choose something to ENJOY from THEIR website as the ones on other sites aren't current.**

We have never tried this place before!The two of us had dinner at Joe Tess Place last night. My husband had the baked seasoned tilapia with a side of baked beans. I had baked unseasoned trout and I asked for a side of rice pilaf. The fish comes on a bed of soft rye bread, a side of unseasoned sliced baked potatoes some pickle slices and a salty hot sauce that I assume must be ment for the potatoes. I tried the sauce and it was not to my taste. My husband saw my face and decided not to try it. We agreed that dinner was good and the portions were very good. The two dinners were pricey, but it was fish so it will be pricey. We will be returning...Covid19 has altered has changed everything in our lives today and Joe Tess Place is no exception with drive up and carry out only, the menue has had to be limited so not everything is available, just ask at the drive up or carry out counter. The drive up was busy, please be patient. They do take cash and cards. This is a good local place for dinner.

Great place to get some fried carp or catfish with friends and family. They do have fried chicken, salmon and grilled chicken also. Pretty pricey for food. Fried carp is good to order. I got the grilled chicken because the fish has too many bones for me to eat and pick out as I go. Grilled chicken was a bit on the dry side but ok. Came with 2 sides ( have maybe 6 sides to pick from). I did like the Cole slaw and we had fried shrimp appetizer which was good.
