Tavern On The Hill

Over-hyped and underwhelming. From everything that we had seen online it looked as though this was the place to be. The concept and location are very appealing, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. We were seated by a server and then when we went to get our food (self serve) our table was taken. The food was ok. Not even close to the best hot dog I have had. It was disappointing considering the price. The Tavern Lager was very light and nothing special. I would recommend going with one of the other beers or drinks if you do choose to visit. Also, the bathrooms didn't have enough capacity considering the number of people that were there. Finally, the mandatory gratuity at a self serve restaurant doesn't sit well. Considering that you order, wait for the food, bring it to your table, and seat yourself (at least in our case after our original table was taken) it seems crazy that they charge a mandatory gratuity. I was excited to try this place and was disappointed.

Excellent view and atmosphere but the food and drinks were mediocre. We were very excited to try the hot dogs, tacos and drinks but we were disappointed that it was overpriced and lacked flavour. I personally did not enjoy the self serve concept and standing in lines every time we wanted a drink. You are only paying for the views.

Overpriced and underwhelming. The difference between this place and a food truck is that they have forced gratuity and you have to go to separate places for your food and your drink. I support tipping culture but only for service provided, there is zero service provided. You have to order and collect your own food and drinks from different places. The view is nice though, but thalts all.
