Cru Wine Bar And Shop

I am amazed. I went tonight to find they had changed their whole menu and took of their only vegan option. I asked the waitress if they had anything vegan and she asked the chef. The chef personally came out to talk to me and asked for my dietary restrictions and preferences. The meal was SO GOOD! He also made a SECOND meal assuming the first wouldn’t be good. I left Cru with a bottle of parducci, an entire meal, leftovers of the first meal and a very happy heart!

Just enjoyed an excellent night at Cru— professional, personal service, and delicious food! Great selection of wines and spirits. This was our first time “out” post pandemic and we couldn’t have chosen better. The revised menu and new chef offer everything we had hoped for — gourmet selections, fresh and healthy options, served with an artful flare. Delicious! As always, the owners stopped at our table to greet us. Grateful to have Cru here in Oxford with its perfect blend of big-city ambience, and hometown comfort. Thanks!

We had family in from Cleveland, and always like going out to eat. She is an awesome cook, and he is a chef! All delighted with Cru. Great wine cellar ambiance. Food was very well done. I would highly recommend the lamb chops. Cooked to perfection. The garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best I have had.

Cru is our favorite date night spot. The staff takes great care to stay Covid compliant and is always friendly and professional. We've been several times over the past two years, and Joan has always greeted us, even if she's not our server. She remembers our drink preferences from past visits and is extremely knowledgeable about wine options, beer options, and gives great menu recommendations as well. Last night we enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, Pig & Pepper pizza (it's got a kick to it!), and the Mediterranean Chicken Quesadilla. Our server, Keirstin, was very attentive and pleasant. Always a great experience!

This place is a long time favorite of my husband and me. We were lucky enough to visit here the first week they reopened after being closed due to Covid. There is a new chef and the food options have been amazing. We are enjoying going through the menu and, tho we have favorites, we have not had a bad meal. They do an amazing job “social distancing”. We have no concerns eating here with tables at least 10 feet apart and the waitresses and management are all masked. Did I mention we are in our 70’s and yes my husband is the old person James Staubach mentioned in his review. We have come here pretty much weekly and have become friends with Joan who manages as well as being a waitress. My husband loves to banter with her and his favorite is the comment, tongue in cheek, about which copy he should sign. It is all in good fun. I am sorry James was put off. I can tell you that Joan is extremely professional and very good at her job. She is part of why we enjoy coming back week after week.
