Waffle House

It's been a while since I've enjoyed breakfast at waffle house. The staff here could not have been friendier, fun, and attentive. Gina, especially, was a fantastic server. Her enthusiasm and natural, combined with such a friendly and attractive appeal, made my morning. This third shift deserves raises. Thanks Gina for the awesome coffee! 😜

The thing that stood out the most on my first and last trip to this Waffle House were the people, they were very nice and cordial and quiet joeville which is always a positive at any dining establishment and I didn't have to wait for anything very long. The food came out quickly but it was just average at best and far too expensive for what it is. It was greasy even for waffle house and the sodas had way to much carbonation and not enough syrup in them and speaking of syrup the syrup that they serve for your waffles is watered down. It most definitely was not worth the money that was paid, far too expensive for such a measly and meager meal.

This morning my wife and I went to go eat here because it is the best waffle house around in my opinion. I gave 2 stars only for the fact that the food was amazing. There was a young waitress working and her very sick son was there too. He needed to see a doctor, and was coughing and had no reason to be in a food establishment. I felt horrible for this single working mother doing the best she can for her child and not being able to take him to the doctor because the manager would not let her leave. As a parent and working to support my kids I understood her frustration. She had to quit in the middle of us eating because she couldn't leave to take her son and let him get the care that he needed. Even if she has only worked there for 10 days that is unacceptable. My wife ran to her car and calmed her down while she was crying to make sure she was ok to drive. Why should this happen. No single parent, woman or man should have to quit their job because the job won't let them leave. My wife gave the cash tip to the young lady even though she was not able to finish waiting on us and we gave nothing to the manager who finished waiting on us like nothing happened. Shame on you for having no respect or heart.
