Re- edited my previous review where I thought the food was great but service so so. I have been back since and I have got excellent service, providing me with receipt via email and a factual copy( for claiming company expenses). Appreciate that they went out of the way to change my first expression on customer service. Well done spires team and shout out for responding as soon as. This time I tried the chicken porcini still delicious but my all time favorite will always be the rack of lamp. Thank you once again.

The place was highly rated on google so thought we would give it a go. First impression - not very clean. Service was good but very slow and not very happy staff. The toilets were filthy but noticed a lot of the public just walking in to use them continuously.
The food was nice, very standard. Standard pricing also.

We stumbled upon this delightful café during a leisurely stroll and decided to indulge in a soothing cup of tea and a delectable muffin. Without a doubt, this has been our most exceptional café experience in Oxford thus far. The staff exuded warmth and hospitality, making us feel truly at home. As for the tea, it surpassed all expectations with its exquisite flavor and impeccable preparation. And the muffin, oh my! It exceeded all our culinary adventures, standing out as the absolute pinnacle of muffin perfection.

A cozy cafe serving delicious food at an affordable rate. Close to the bus station and relatively spacious.
I recommend trying the slow-cooked lamb shoulder.

This is my favorite cafe in Oxford! The smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, and avocado toast was excellent and the orange juice portion size was great. They also have a nice roast lamb lunch special, that comes with rice, potatoes, and a salad.

Good coffee, good food, good pastries, nice location and service. Super convenient if you are traveling with bus as it is right next to the main bus stop. Highly recommend their breakfast menu!

I enjoy going to this cafe in the evening because it's not too busy. The staff are super nice and helpful. As a by wheelchair user I can get inside the cafe easily and use the toilet which is also accessible. The prices are reasonable.
My only criticisms of this place would be that they frequently run out of their own specials and that there is only one door between the kitchen and the toilet - so don't sit too close to the back!

Wish I’d found this place sooner—really lovely staff, great interior and most importantly great coffee! Sad not to try some more of the food but all of it looked very tasty and noticeably cheaper than most similar places around Oxford. Only tried the granola bowl which was very tasty and so reasonably priced. Thanks 😊

THE BEST ENGLISH BREAKFAST IN OXFORD! Wow what an amazing find! At my time of visiting, only been open for a month. A warm, inviting, friendly and delicious place to eat and drink. The breakfast, OMG it was amazing! This is the only place I have ever found that does home made baked beans, they are a revelation! All parts of the breakfast were high quality, fresh, artisan, not oily. The coffee was very well made! Can't recommend this place enough, will be returning ASAP! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

One of my favorite stops while in Oxford! Amazing breakfast with a delicious latte to top it off! Fast and friendly service. It was definitely busy, but the layout gave adequate room to allow it to not feel overcrowded.
