Ok, this place has the idea spot on. The wine is great, they intend to have some great food at the right times and I really feel it’s evolving into a hub in Botley.
It has some finessing to do, but it’s well on the way and, importantly, open to listening to its consumers to adapt. Customer service is fantastic e.g. navigating the carefully curated wine menu, dog friendly, provision of nice nibbles. What else can you ask for?
We can’t wait for full service come end of July!

Really pleased to have a place like this in Botley! Great atmosphere and attentive staff. The food and drink were all delicious. Only room for improvement from my side is that as a pescatarian it would be nice to have more options. It was the fish dish (most expensive item on the menu) or a cauliflower dish and nothing else in between.
I’ll check the menu before coming for dinner again, but look forward to trying lunch.

Visited Pappo for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed! The roast beef, pork and chicken were absolutely amazing, the portion sizes were perfect too.
We had the chocolate delice, Bakewell tart and pavlova for dessert and they were all gorgeous.
Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Our first meal at Pappo's and certainly not our last. Every course was brilliant - good tastes attractively presented. Very helpful staff. Good wine list and local ales and locally distilled spirits. This should become a destination restaurant. Heaps better than Fishes and The Bear (both sometimes more style than substance I'm afraid). Pappo's food is well balanced and tasty and fulfilling.

First time visit to Pappo in Botley for dinner. Was very impressed. Lovely seasonal menu with delicious food. Great addition to Botley and definitely rivals fairly with The Fishes, The Bear etc. Friendly and attentive staff. Couldn’t fault it. Hope it goes from strength to strength. We’ll be back!

We were very keen to try out this new local restaurant and were not disappointed. Fantastic Sunday lunch... perfectly cooked lamb with top notch trimmings, the cauliflower steak was a hit with the vegeterians, and lovely deserts. I'm sure this restaurant will become very successful, definitely one of the best Sunday lunches we've had in Oxford. Many thanks

Great new place just opened in Botley. Went there for lunch - they have a meat and a vegan option freshly made every day. I had the blade of beef, with champ and sprouting broccoli for £12, which was delicious and, I would say, good value for money. The other option was cauliflower four ways for £8.50, which also looked great. The staff were very friendly. It’s something Botley really needed and I’ll be a regular customer I’m sure.
