Mama Rosa Restaurant

Accidentally came across this place when looking for vegan food and was not disappointed. It turns out there is a separate vegan menu with so many options. Probably the best vegan pizza I have eaten in a long time without any crazy vegan tax! The crust was soft ins and just the right amount of crunch on the outside. Delicious, generous toppings and very friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!

Love this Pizza joint... Walked into the store and the first thing I notice is the smell, it smells like an old fashioned Pizza joint fresh warm & homely. The next thing I noticed was a young lady hand rolling homemade pizza dough. I must admit I was impressed, as I've tried other well known pizza places in the area and their bases all seem to be pre-made food service frozen bases that taste like cardboard, NOT Mumma Rosa's their dough tastes like a traditional base should. They also use quality fresh smallgoods salami, ham/bacon etc. its fresh and they know their salami as it tastes like Calabrese salami the perfect salami for any pizza topping. I guess the only thing I can fault them on is the delivery time. But at the end of the day I'd rather pick it up anyways. Only other thing I'd like to see from these guys are the old fashioned round egg carton pizza boxes. All things said and done will keep going back for more.

Mama Rosa would get 5 stars, however since the new owners have taken over and rebranded as V8 it’s a generous 1 star. Despite the fake positive reviews below all left within the past two weeks by friends and family all with the same surnames, there is nothing to be excited about at V8. Weird (not bad, just weird) customer service. Lacklustre and unoriginal menu. And worst of all totally throwing out the menu that kept many of us coming back as loyal customers. Mama Rosa and Rita had an excellent and very extensive vegan range, one of the very few in the area, which made my family and many others I knew of to be regulars. The new owners appear to have scrapped this entirely and when asked they aren’t sure if they’ll resume these options. It makes absolutely zero sense to buy a business with an established customer base only to completely close your doors to them, and to disregard vegan options in this day and age shows the lack of business acumen the new owners have or an understanding of the market they could capitalise on. As Mama Rosa was open for over 30 years surely this would be a sign of doing something right that the new owners would want to continue seamlessly. Farewell Mama Rosa, you were fantastic and will be missed, and farewell to V8 who will surely be out of business in the not too distant future as they offer absolutely nothing unique to the over saturated pizza industry and couldn’t possibly remain open when they are willingly turning away an established customer base.

We went to mumma Rosas for the first time, for takeaway Pizza and lasagna, and i was very disappointed...The lasagna was inedible, it was salty, dry and looked like it had been just thrown into the microwave. The pizza was equally disappointing. The base was soggy, and overall the dough was undercooked..The pizza lacked taste and flavour. I wish i could add something more positive but unfortunately i couldnt.

Anyone who has been to Italy and had pizza will admire Mama Rosa's authentic food. Better than a fast food Pizza places. I have been to the restaurant few times with family and friends. Mama Rosa makes amazing pasta dishes, lassagne and seafood dishes. Eventhough you may have to wait for some dishes, all of her food has home made feels to it.
