The Continental Mid-town

Love this place! Every. Time. I fully intended to snap photos of our food today. However, it looked so incredible that I jumped right in! It was amazing! We had Sunday brunch. The breakfast potatoes are incredible! The coffee is fabulous. Our server, Stephen, was wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable.

I've been here twice for brunch. Once on the rooftop(great photo ops) and downstairs on the main level. Both experiences were more than great. The music is always on point, playing some of the songs that take you back in time to those carefree years. I've tried the cheeseteak egg rolls, brussel sprouts, Korean fried chicken, pastrami fried rice, and chilaquiles, and it was all top tier!! Let's not forget about those mimosas either. Had me feeling good! It's always a dope time here and one of the best things is you can split the chick electronically using the qr code on the receipt, so no asking for split checks!!

The Continental Midtown restaurant and bar was the place we been meaning to go to since the Covid-19. We actually tried to get an outdoor table during that time but it was super booked. However, it is well worth the wait. This multi-story restaurant has two levels up on the bottom floor and a rooftop bar and restaurant area. We were fortunate enough to end up in the bar area so I kept trying out the elevator and we sent outside. It was comfortable even though the night was very cool as they have radiated heat. Everything was excellent! Our waitress was so much fun and really made a lot of good recommendations. The cocktails are exceptional in the beer (although from a can) they do not serve beer on tap was great. My daughter had the pastrami fried rice, and wife had the shrimp tempura, killer shrimp. Everything was tasty, fresh and hot. Some things to note: The accessible restroom is in the lower level and you will need to take the elevator to get there. In addition, I strongly recommend making a reservation this place is super busy. Even when we made our reservation we had to settle for a later time. So the earlier the better. Good eats! Have fun! Oh my goodness this place is AMAZING! From the outside it looks like just another diner… but when you walk inside it’s like the Jetsons! The tables upstairs are fire 🔥 and their decor is super jazzy They’ve got a super varied menu. Quesadillas, tacos, tostadas, poke bowls, pad thai, dumplings, you name it! Staff are super friendly! Love this place!! 🪩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went in here for dinner with a group of 4 people. The place has amazing ambience with their interior and lightning. They also have cute hanging swing type seatings available. Good drinks and delicious food. Their Scezhuan Shoestring Fries from their menu is an interesting pick to try out. Highly recommend to try their signature dish, Lobster Mac & Cheese. We also tried their Shrimp Pad Thai and Faro Risotto (good consistency and flavor). We tried their Banana Creme Brulee from the dessert menu and absolutely loved it! The banana layered over rich creamy custard was perfect to end the night.

We sat right away and were even given a choice of where to sit. Given that every section had its own allure and the ground floor was a little busy, we opted for the 2nd floor. We sat in these funky hanging/swinging chairs, which I was assured of could hold my weight (250), and we embraced the whimsical atmosphere. Loved it. Obsessed 10/10 would recommend, especially for a dinner where you want to take silly photos of each other. Our server didn't seem thrilled to have been sat as she expressed she wanted to go home, but we had a reservation & the restaurant wasn't closing anytime soon..... We ordered the corn appetizer, which wasn't what we imagined after reading the description, but we LOVED it and were "fighting" over the last bite. She got the curry shrimp over rice & I got the fried chicken, and we shared the Brussel sprouts. All were super tasty and filling. We skipped dessert this evening. But the drinks and cocktail selections were on point. But limited bourbon selection (no expectations just worth noting) Service was smooth and attentive, and we weren't even the last table sat in the section, so we didn't feel rushed or guilty for being there. The bathrooms were super cool, too, with a 2-way mirror, but I could've done without the server pointing out how long I was in the bathroom for to my partner while I was gone..... Love Stephen Starr restaurants and will continue to dine in them as long as I can. Will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting or native.

Everything about this place is fantastic. The decor is unique and fun and every server we have had has gone the extra mile. The food is consistently fantastic. The lobster mac and cheese is rich, creamy, and flavorful, and the korean fried chicken is moist and fried perfectly. This is another place that is a must visit whenever I’m in town!

Dinner at the Continental was a very nice experience. The shoestring fries were a great appetizer . I got the NY Strip steak and it was very good. Another person in my family loved the lobster Mac and Cheese. For dessert the Brookie with ice cream was incredible! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
