Insomnia Cookies

Went here last night - the person helping us was really nice. We were both anxious/awkward but they were pretty cool. Hope they’re doing well. Also, a word of advice: it is inside a UPenn building (Houston Hall), downstairs. You have to have a student badge to get inside, as the doors are locked (at least at night, we were there 8:30/9pm). It was torture because I couldn’t figure out where it was but I could SMELL THE COOKIES outside. I felt like a bloodhound. Finally I saw a student going inside and we caught the door before it shut and got inside. Probably not supposed to do that, but I walked 15 min for cookies and I wasn’t leaving without them. They were worth it, very delicious!

I wish I could give more than 5 out of 5 stars to your incredible employee Leah! She was so warm and professional while serving us, even in the midst of fielding numerous customer phones calls and deliveries! If there is any way to give her a raise, a promotion, or both, please do! Thanks so much for all that you do, Leah! You made our whole night!

The girl that was working there tonight, I believe she said her name was Leah, was so sweet, helpful, and reassuring. I called because I ordered an ASAP delivery and she told me there was a shortage on drivers and she would get it to me as quickly as possible. I reassured her to take her time, because the system said it was delivered and it’s not her fault in store that she doesn’t have enough drivers. She was absolutely sweet and appreciative and even said she’s gonna send some extras with my order. It pays to be nice and understanding ya’ll, we all need it. Thank you for being a smiling voice on the other end of the phone, hun! Much, much praise.

I was having an emotional day at work….I couldn’t think straight. I couldn’t focus. I felt so drained and was working a 12hr shift. I said to myself “Self! We need some ice cream and Ben&Jerry’s just won’t cut it tonight.” Only other option is Insomnia Cookies!!! I went online to place my order. I found locations that had the ice cream flavors I wanted but not the cookies and vice versa. That added more stress to my stressful night. I began searching at 10pm. I wasn’t able to find a location to settle on til 12am!!! I called to place my order, the representative attempted to place my order but the computer kept glitching. She said she selected my choices but the system kept changing her selections. Boom! More stress on top of stress in addition to annoyance. I asked if I could place my order l at the store. I was told yes. My coworker’s shift ended at midnight and he still came with me to get that sweet ice creamy goodness and warm cookies. When we arrived at the location my GPS directed us to, I found myself unable to find the store. I had to call the customer service line again for help. The representative was able to connect me to the actual store to guide me. I was finally able to place my order. The young lady on the phone was so patient and kind with me. We disconnected our call and waited for the young lady I spoke with to bring out my order. This bubbly young lady whose name is Leah💋 came out and brought orders to everyone that was waiting. When she finally made it to my car, I couldn’t have been more happy. For starters…..every step she took made my taste buds go crazy knowing I would finally get my damn dessert lol But the kicker was how pleasant and cheerful Leah was. I could tell she was busy but still took the time to listen to me vent about the oral pleasures Insomnia Cookies and ice cream were about to provide for me🤤 After dealing with the traumas of the hospital, being able to take a break and meet someone with such a beautiful disposition was the cherry 🍒 on top. You may not remember my colleague and I Leah but you made my night so much so I wanted to write this review before I order again lol Dear Insomnia Cookies please please please share my praises with this awesome young lady. I will only frequent this location as long as she’s there. She was literally a breath of fresh air in the middle of a horrible evening. I can’t thank you enough Leah.
