Monterey Bay Fish Grotto

If you're looking for a wedding/reception dinner venue, look no further!! Monterey Bay was SO accommodating to our requests/needs & helped so much setting the room up the day of. It was such a stress-free experience & the food was amazing. Could not have asked for a better day - thank you so much! ❤️

This place is 5 stars all around Ordered the Chilean Salmon with Chimichurri. It was great. Also tried the crab cakes. They were delicious. The calamari and bruschetta were also excellent. Their desserts were also delicious. My favorite was a small cake with berries. The views of the city and the river delta were beautiful and impressive. Definitely a place to take your spouse or loved one and enjoy.

Definitely one of the better restaurants in Pittsburgh with 5 stars for the Ambiente and view across the city. The food was satisfying but dishes lacked some finesse and balancing of flavor by some acidity - both main dishes and desserts. The service was friendly but could have been a bit more attentive for a large party like ours. Favorite dishes included the crab cakes, the branzino and the swordfish. The tuna was good but the portion was gigantic and seemed to cover the actual quality of the fish. Would not recommend the Sea Bass, at least in my case it didn’t seem to be fully cooked and was a bit slimy inside. Would go again for a special occasion in Pittsburgh

It doesn't get much better than this! Special night for a birthday celebration and our server, Christopher, made us feel at home with his friendly hospitality and insights on the entrees, portions, and pairings. Everything from the espresso martini and wine selection, appetizers like calamari and prosciutto, and entress Ahi Tuna, Seafood Pasta, and Lobster were absolutely delish! And, the view! Wow! We will be back!

What an amazing experience! Breathtaking views and the food was absolutely divine. Our group had a range of items from the Chilean Sea Bass, Swordfish, Ahi tuna and the pork chops. We sampled each other's food and truly couldn't pick one over the other. Comes with my highest recommendation. If you are lucky enough to make it to Pittsburg, GO!
