Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh

I jsut moved to Pittsburgh area and I went here with my mother. We had a blast. The food was great and the atmosphere was so fun. I would have loved to have seen the back porch but it was closed due to winter months. Overall I would definitely go back here. Great place for good food and fun atmosphere.

We've been to several Hofbraühaus locations in the US and in Germany, including the original in Munich. This location is easily our favorite. The view on the back balcony overlooking the river is beyond gorgeous. The food was spot on for Bavarian cuisine. Our server Alex was awesome. The beer was phenomenal. If you're in downtown Pittsburgh, be sure to check it out.

Everything about this place was warm, friendly, and delicious! Dishes that typically have a vinegary taste were made with a more balanced flavor profile. The presentation of the food was beautiful too! Staff was friendly and the right amount of attentive. The musicians engaging the crowd was a nice touch too. Makes you feel a part of something while enjoying great food. Definitely gonna make it there again soon!

We came here on a Sunday early evening and were seated right away. The atmosphere is wonderful and waitress were very attentive. We ordered pretzels as an appetizer and they gave us 4 pretzels but only 1 medium size dip. They charge you extra if you get more dip which I did not like. When they give you 4 pretzels, you should be given more cups of dip not just one. My main dish was great. I havent been here in awhile but glad to know the food still tastes good. Wish there was a live band playing to entertain us, maybe next time there will be one.

I love this place and come here as often as I can. I’ve been here with family, friends, and would even stop in the bar by myself and feel welcome. The German food and biere is authentic and delicious. This is a great experience for people looking for a cultural experience. The staff is great, though sometimes it seems they are a bit overwhelmed. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and I think it’s all great! Can’t wait to go back.

Great place for beer, German food and fun! Wurst sampler the best. Schnitzel was excellent. Apfel Strudel and Torte were the perfect end to a great meal. Oh, and the beer! Superb. Wonderful flavor. We tried 3 different beers and all would make any German happy. Best of all was our server. LEXI. She was smart and engaging. Anticipated our every need. Provided just the right amount of conversation and left us alone to talk. Tip her well when she waits on you. She is in law school and needs the money
