Some of the best pizza west of New Jersey/New York. Not big on service, but that's not what mineos is for. Walk up and get your own pizza. :) typical pizza place atmosphere

The BEST pizza in Pittsburgh, or anywhere. Period. It’s a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Nice, thick crust. Real cheese that slides on the pizza when hot (To me, that’s a good thing). Plentiful amount of toppings. Pepperoni is real pepperoni, not the Hormel that comes in a bag from the grocery store. What an authentic pizza should be.

Everything was good. My 2nd time here. Just a word of advice bc we had to learn the hard way. If you plan on sitting in the bar part of the restaurant, order your pizza from there. We ordered ours downstairs and took it to the bar area, and they weren't happy about that. I guess bc they thought we weren't ordering drinks or anything else we would just be taking up space and not tipping the bartenders or servers.

I'm not gonna lie. This pizza is probably the best pizza I've had in my life. The cheeses on it was delicious. Even the grease was amazing. And it blew my mind how the toppings were UNDER the cheese. I will DEFINITELY be visiting Mineo's the next time I'm in Pittsburgh. It is staple stop for me now.

Comfort Pizza- This is a magical place. It transcends the amazing pizza. It’s the best place to share a slice with a friend or a soon to be friend or even better … your partner. This is my pizza. The pizza of friendship and love. Deliciously made. You can taste the quality in the crust and the cheese. Just don’t eat it right out of the oven- give it like 4 minutes. Don’t sleep on the salads - always so fresh and crunchy. Also recommend the cheese fries. Go here and be happy or Go happy and be here.

Best pizza in Pittsburgh IMHO. The crust is thin. This is the kind of pizza you fold in half and let the grease from the pepperoni drip off. The cheese and sauce are quality. Mineo's has been around for ages and has a faithful following. If you're in Squirrel Hill, I recommend you stop in for a slice. Yes, they sell by the slice or whole pie.

Mineo's is a local Pittsburgh pizza legend, and for good reason. It has stood the test of time as one of the originals. From this, the original location, at the heart of Squirrel Hill. But people come from a lot further than Murray Avenue to get this pizza. And for good reason! It's a time honored Pittsburgh tradition. So, how did this pizza hold up for me? I'll be honest up front and say that Mineo's has a lot of really steep competition these days. Both from its age old competitors, and new blood. It holds up to these competitors, and offers a premium-antique dining experience at a low price. So long as you pay with cash. That being said, it isn't quite my preference. That being said, I'm sure it is someone's! The pizza is a thin stiff (read: not crispy) crust with a thick layer of cheese and a stiff, narrow edge. The sauce is sweet, and the cheese rather rich. While fresh, it's a cheese pizza that will hit you all at once with a pungent, proper pizza flavor. Also, with a wise mix of buried and unburied toppings, its options for topping combinations are more unique than most places! For me, the flavors were very good, but didn't quite hit the top spot for me. Also, if you're impatient, this pizza will pull apart without exception. Letting it cool, at least a little bit, is required if you don't want to reassemble it after a bite. (I don't see this as a negative, just something you should be aware of. It's that fresh!) Additionally, it's a somewhat greasy pizza. Not the greasiest, not by a long shot. I don't see this as a negative, as some people like a greasy pizza. I think this one could suit just about anyone, as long as they aren't a hard No-Grease person when it comes to pizza. In the end, what really blew me away, were their non-pizza options. The Arancini were divine, garlic bread made from Mancini's was divine, and the wedding soup held up to my Italian-American family's expectations. Some of them who have gone to Mineo's since before I was alive. So, don't just take it from me. I encourage anyone and everyone to get down tos quirrel hill, and make the trip to Mineo's at least once!

It is one of the best pizza joints in Pittsburgh. The cheese is awesome, toppings are plentiful, and sauce is perfect. It is truly a Pittsburgh institution. This is a must stop place for visitors. The bar and other items are great, but the pizza is what you want!

When I think Pittsburgh pizza, Mineos is one of the 1st names that comes to mind. My family has been ordering Mineo’s pies for generations. The inch of melted cheese and various toppings over their house sauce and dough. I suggest a couple napkins and sometimes fork and knife will save a slice when the cheese wants to ooze off.

Had the Arancini and Garlic bread for appetizers. Never had Arancini before and was pleasantly surprised, give it a try. Decided to order by the slice pizza to try several things. Had white pizza and the pepperoni and sausage Sicilian slice. Sauce was very tasty. Sicilian had nice texture and flavor. Also tried the ravioli and it was good as well. Finished with a tiramisu and cannoli which were also good. Warning, cash only and parking options are limited. Would definitely come back and try more of their menu.
