Double Wide Grill

The change from Double Wide Grill and ALL of the vegan options they had is horrible. They have 3 vegan things on the menu now. This used to be my favorite vegan restaurant in the country, knowing that I could take anyone here, as they had options for all parties. Sadly I won't be back after the menu change. Not only did they go from 10-15 vegan options to 3, but the entire menu for meat options is smaller as well, as my brother noted. The vegan food they did have was delicious, as it always has been. But sadly not worth an hour drive to Pittsburgh anymore.

I went here for the first time recently and had a mixed experience. Loved the dog-friendly outdoor space and atmosphere, along with the tasty menu choices. The service however was quite slow, from the server to the kitchen. It was Saturday evening when we went but it didn’t seem terribly busy at the time, so we were surprised how long it took to get waters and the food. Just as we were going to ask the server about the food coming out (it had been almost an hour), they came up and mentioned that the kitchen was short-staffed and the food would be delayed maybe another 15-20min. They kind of were asking us what we wanted to do, which I found odd since it’s not like we would decide to cancel our order at this point. Having worked in many positions in various restaurants I was understanding but still perplexed that the server would tell us the food was delayed AFTER we had already been waiting for a while. All that being said it didn’t ruin the experience. When the food came out it was hot and delicious. We were certainly impressed by the flavor and the portions of it all, so I left satisfied. A little confused by the service but I came for tasty ribs and I got tasty ribs. Kitchen: 😁 Server: 🤔

We had an amazing time at Double Wide Grille in Pittsburgh! Their dog-friendly patio and special “Doggie Menu” made it such a delightful experience for our furry companions. The fact that they cater to our four-legged friends was a big plus for us. And let’s talk about the food – it was absolutely divine! The flavors and presentation were top-notch, leaving us thoroughly impressed. A definite 5-star experience that we can’t wait to repeat!
