The Yard Gastropub

I went for brunch today and on the weekends it goes until 4. Their grilled cheese is what they are known for and their wide array to pick from. I’ve always loved just their house burger. The garlic aoli is what makes it. The salads are good here and I usually don’t like salads at places, I always get one with goat cheese and raspberries and walnuts. It’s amazing and they do not skimp on the good stuff in the salads. I have come here and just ordered their dessert before for dinner. No one there judged me. I always get the same waitress and she is always so hospitable. The staff are really such a sweet bunch of people and it has a very hometown vibe. The staff also isn’t vulnerable to turnover as I’ve seen a lot of the same staff for years.

What a cute and cozy little pub! The service was excellent, and the food is amazing! I got the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich which was loaded with cheddar cheese and all white meat chicken breast. My husband got the brunch sandwich which is your typical breakfast sandwich fillings (cheese, chorizo, bacon, etc) loaded between 2 Beignet pancakes... yum! You won't leave this place hungry! Highly recommend if you are in the Shady Side area.

The food was pretty good, I might ordered the wrong thing, the filling in my grilled cheese was a little sparse. Though everyone else at my table seemed pleased with their meal. The side home made potato chips were amazing It's definitely not the place to go if you want to have dinner conversation. But, could be fun for late night, after the game, bigger groups

Had a brunch bridal shower that I attended here and did a dessert table for. The room the Yard provided was a good size with plenty high tables and chairs. The server was very helpful. The food was excellent and hot served buffet style. They had salad, chicken and waffles, potatoes, bacon and eggs. The Yard also let us bring in desserts for the shower. I would have a party here.

The Yard was fun. I went last weekend with a friend for lunch. I didn’t realize it was so large. We ate upstairs. The restaurant was festively decorated for Halloween 👻. Everyone was so friendly and attentive even though they were very busy and there were two large groups of people being served. My friend and I did not feel like we were being ignored. The portions are huge and the food is pretty good. Nice cocktails and a vibrant atmosphere. I would go again.

My daughter and her friend wanted to spend some time with me for lunch. It was the first trip here for any of us. It probably will not be the last. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu items are cleverly named. The ones we tried were delicious! They didn't have a military discount available for my daughter, but they did kick up some free food to go. They didn't have to do that, but they did. There was no rush to order. I'm glad too because there's so much to chose from. I recommend kicking back and enjoying whatever you order. Our lunch outing was a success.
