We had a great meal with my son who is attending Pitt. It is walking distance to campus and the food is really good. On top of it the service was great. Bryce was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He truly made us feel welcome and made some great recommendations.

Great atmosphere, cute indoor decoration, and we were able to get a table without reservation when we walked in a little before 7pm on Sunday. When we ordered salad for the table, it came in a small plate for each person at the table, which was really cute. The Caesar salad was delicious, and the fries were great. However, all the taste of the linguine alle vongole was from the salt of the clams, and the pasta itself was quite bland. Also, the seat pad I sat on was sinking, making me 2 inches shorter. For the entire duration of our dining experience, I felt like I was gradually “engulfed” by the chair. When I pointed it out nicely to the waiter after check, I received a simple response “yeah some chairs had that problem.” I would wish they could switch out those chairs for their customers’ comfort.

On a warm summer night nothing can beat the patio atmosphere. The pancetta and veal bolognese was fabulous and meaty. The eggplant Parmesan was also good. Portions are generous. Special call or to the arugula salad. The candied walnuts and fresh goat geese perfectly tossed with balsamic vinaigrette. Finally the wait staff were attentive but not overbearing. They regaled us with stories of the celebrities who have eaten here. The Groupon reeled is in, the experience will have us coming back. And a bonus— half off bottles of wine on tuesdays. Freshly filled cannoli and warm lava cake topped it off!

The atmosphere is gorgeous here and the food is superb. I had the porterhouse veal cooked perfectly! The staff was so nice and accommodating. My mother and I were so comfortable and had such a good time. They give you u lots of food and all of it was exceptional. Definitely will be coming back soon. Our waiter’s name was Zach; he was so personable and attentive.

In the heart of Pittsburgh, PA, lies Lucca Restaurante, a culinary gem that promises an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I stepped through its doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality by the friendly and attentive server, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of gastronomic delight. The true star of the show at Lucca Restaurante was undoubtedly the cuisine. Each dish was a masterful composition of flavors, showcasing the chef's impeccable skill and attention to detail. One particular standout was the White Truffle Pappardelle—a dish that transcended ordinary expectations and left me yearning for more. The rich aroma of the white truffle infused the velvety handmade pappardelle, creating a harmonious symphony of taste that was nothing short of heavenly. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked, maintaining a delightful al dente texture that paired exquisitely with the earthy truffle notes. This dish alone was worth the visit to Lucca Restaurante. Beyond the exceptional cuisine, the overall dining experience at Lucca Restaurante was elevated by the genuine care and attentiveness of the staff. The server's warmth and knowledge of the menu added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal, ensuring that every detail was catered to. The combination of friendly service, mouthwatering dishes, and a cozy ambiance made Lucca Restaurante a true culinary haven in Pittsburgh. In conclusion, Lucca Restaurante in Pittsburgh, PA, is a must-visit for any food enthusiast seeking an extraordinary dining experience. From the delightful ambiance to the outstanding service, every aspect of the restaurant was designed to enchant guests. But it was the White Truffle Pappardelle, with its irresistible flavors and impeccable execution, that truly stole the show. Lucca Restaurante sets the standard for culinary excellence, leaving patrons craving another taste of their sensational offerings.

From apps to dessert, food was excellent! Unfortunately, service was very slow. It took nearly 40 mins just to get our appetizers. The entire experience took 2.5 hrs and we didn’t see a manager once.

Second time eating here and loved it just as much as the first time! We went for Valentines weekend and Jake was our server-he was great! Fun to talk to, had great tips on the menu and made our dinner so enjoyable. Food was so delicious, we love the large selection of food and the cannolis for dessert were amazing. Also, free bread appetizer is some of the best bread I’ve had at an Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh. Hope to be back a third time soon!

A fantastic restaurant that I’d give 6 stars to if I could! For my fellow celiacs - they can make any menu item gluten free (with the only exception being the meatballs). I started with a glass of their Cabernet which paired well with the brussel sprouts appetizer (a must order!!). For the entree I had the short rib risotto which was delicious. It’s a large serving, though, so I had to get a to go box for half of it. My husband had the tagliatelle bolognaise, and he raved about how good the pasta was (he had the regular gluten-full stuff!). The wait staff was incredibly friendly and personable. One of my new favorite places in Pittsburgh for sure.
