My wife and I went there the first time back in 1968 on our first dinner date when we first dated. The same owners are still operating the restaurant and have maintained the overall greatness any independent owner could offer. We were just there last Friday night with two other couples and our friends were amazed with the quality and prices they received at Amels. Great place great value and a very comfortable restaurant in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.

I have yet to have a bad meal at Amel's. The stuffed grape leaves are my go-to appetizer. Whether I've had the beet and artichoke salad, the mixed kebab, or shared small plates, the food never disappoints.

The salads and dressing were prepared well. The artichokes with goat cheese and balsamic were delicious. Large menu with a variety of options. The staff was helpful with gluten free options.

Like others, we have been going for quite some time. Never disappoints. The food is quite good. Staff is very friendly and the ambiance is spot on.

My feeling is everything is better with feta ♥️ This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. Today I ordered lunch and picked it up to take it home. Please be aware, if you see that delivery is available, that is a scam. Amel's is a dine-in or pick up restaurant only. They will not pay fees for a delivery service. I don't blame them. I think it's worth either eating there or picking up and enjoying their beautiful restaurant.

I enjoyed this meal. Although I was very concerned about the pricing when I first arrived. If you talk to your waiter or take a knowledgeable friend (Thank you Barb) you can navigate this place for right around 20 a person. The gyro platter not only was a lot of food, it was well prepared, and fresh! Locally sourced ingredients but not like it's a thing... good choice if your in the area! I need to check out their lunch specials soon

A hidden gem in the South Hills of Pittsburgh! Fresh, homemade and amazing! Signature She Crab soup is worth the trip in its self!! Full bar with good beers on tap.

This place is fantastic!! The food was great and it has a cozy atmosphere. I got the Aladdin pasta with chicken and my wife got the Berry Salmon. Will definately be returning.
