Priory Fine Pastries

Prantl’s Bakery is a local chain that has operated for several decades. The bakery is famous for its burnt almond torte, but it also sells cookies, scones, muffins, croissants, brownies, donuts, cakes, cupcakes, and many other baked goods. During my visit, the employee immediately greeted me and patiently waited while I decided what to buy. She carefully packed my baked goods, accurately rang up my purchase, and kindly thanked me. Please note that this bakery charges a service fee regardless of how customers pay. Some interior seating is available. Metered street parking is available outside. At home, I ate my baked goods. I thought that the apricot rolls needed to be baked a little longer. I really enjoyed the freshness and flavors of the butter croissant, oatmeal-raisin cookie, and lady lock.

Super pleasant and helpful staff. Obv the product is incredible in every way. We’ve tried almost all of it. Signature toasted almond cake/tort, cookies, heck even the ham and cheese croissant was good just needed a bit more ham. But that’s nitpicking. The location is a little different story. Parking isn’t easy bc it’s a busy street already and with street parking on both sides and a lot of foot traffic it’s tough. But if you live on the west side of Burgh having this location is huge so perfect for us.

Perfect service, delicious pastries and great prices. The only thing that would make it better is if they had boxes that were tougher so you could pack the pastries to go for a plane in your carry on. Prantl’s is absolutely worth checking out. I got all threes types of almond tortes and some cookies.
