Best college bar for Pitt students, but also a great place to grab a bite or watch a game... They just events throughout the week like trivia nights... Have a fantastic drink menu with anything you can think of, plus local on tap and themed shot pitchers which are a must

It's a college town dive bar - cheap, sweet, decently strong drinks with charmingly grimy interior is expected and provided in spades. Have not tried the food but looks to be typical dive-bar grub, or nothing special. The back seating rooms are very lackluster in decor but are unfortunately the only seating options for larger groups

I used to hang at this pub in the 90s. I recently stopped by and I love the" unique gummy worm "mixed drink selection there were so many delicious combinations to choose from and very fair prices. The staff were very friendly. Great clean atmosphere but the ladies bathroom is still too tiny. My friend loved the fish taco. I cant wait to stop by again and get a different drink with gummies worms. 🐛 I love the upbeat atmosphere 💛💙💜💚💗❤

It took awhile to get some service, but when we did, it was good. My suggestion is to walk up to the bar if you don't look like a college student enough. We came on music trivia night, but a bit too late to join, but it looked fun! Their $5 drink was a good deal, which was like a pitcher of liquor, and sour patch watermelon, which I thought looked like lucky charms (this was before I started to drink)! Easy access from Uber, and a great college hangout!

Such an awesome place. The staff is great (shout out to Hailey), and the drinks are awesome too. The prices for drinks aren’t anything crazy which is nice, especially if you get a shot pitcher. The atmosphere is so great too. We love Hems! ❤️

Crazy college bar with always tons of action. The drinks are stupid cheap (as a college bar). Classic printed, no frills drink menus. You can also buy white claws and other cheap canned drinks.
The group behind us was screaming so loud we couldn’t hear each other. So, people watching is a funny activity here. Come on Halloween to see some crazy costumes as well.
Also, don’t try to come here with a fake ID!! They are extra critical.
