Shiloh Inn Pittsburgh

Where to start? Shiloh Gastro is located up on a bluff in western Pittsburgh and is said to be haunted. The restaraunt is a semi renovated house with a patio and deck. It is a 2 story with plenty of room downstairs and a bar. Kitchen and a private room are also upstairs. To get to this hidden treasure, my friends and I took a brisk, 20 minute walk, crossed the river and took a gondola ride to the top of the bluff. Just a block or so beyond the top, we found this hidden treasure. There is a pretty diverse all American menu but I enjoyed some mushroom jerk tacos and a salad on my first night. I went back the next night and had some delicious nachos. I had the Keanu Reeves beer. Were they pulling my leg? Delicious IPA no matter what. Great and prompt service. Definitely a hidden gem and a great adventure just to get to the top with great company and service.

Absolutely amazing food and service. I’m usually the one that finds the negative in everything and I have to say this place blew me out of the water. The atmosphere was so pleasant to dine in. The food and service was the best we’ve had in a long time. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and they cheese steak, both of which were possibly the best we’ve ever had. The chicken was huge (good for two people) and was extremely juicy and so much flavor. The cheese steak sandwich had so much flavor for something so simple, and the bread was fresh. Our server, Jessie, was the definition of good service. Always there with what you needed before you had to ask like extra napkins or refills. 10/10 will be returning. Also, try the Moscow mule. Was delicious The wife and I agreed it’s so nice and rare anymore to go to such a casual place with such good food and service. Can’t wait to come back.
