Eat'n Park

Eat n park use to be good inexpensive food kinda like a diner setting. Somewhere along the way, they started to take themselves too seriously. The food quality never improved, some day got worse. The only thing that saves them is the salad bar. It rema8ns good quality. But where was the green fluff?

We stopped in for dessert and coffee. I love the Coconut Cream Pie. This recipe didn't measure up to what I have had before. Didn't taste like real meringue and definitely not as high. My husband liked his dessert. Seemed like a hassle to make more coffee, but they were open for a couple more hours .

The strawberry chicken salad was delicious! The food was solidly decent. The service was decent when present. That's not to say we were ignored, but rather that staff felt far too busy and stressed. Normally, I wouldn't say anything, preferring time and no rush in order to chat with friends. When I come to Eat 'N Park, it's with the expectation of a low key nostalgic setting like a friend's house for tea. I don't think my servers were lazy folks as I certainly saw them hustling to serve and helping each other the whole time we were there. Maybe it was a staff shortage or maybe there was an issue in the back. Maybe they just dealt with a horrible customer. I can't say exactly what they were dealing with. But it definitely stuck out that something felt uneasy.
