Forbes Tavern

We had our holiday party at Forbes Tavern because we love the food there. Holly took care of our table of 12, she was very attentive and a lot of fun! All the food was fantastic- apps, salads and sandwiches were great. I love this place for their Reuben, and there were raves about their French Dip. GM Jonathan was very kind and helpful when I reached out to make the reservation too!

Late night food! Wings are amazing! Brussel Sprouts were Amazing! Holiday Moscow Mule was literally the most amazing bartender/server I've had in the last few months. On top of that John, the GM, was bringing food and laughing with us as well. There were 4 Southwest Airlines crews in eating. We value customer service and they definitely had 5 star service! Looking forward to coming back!

If your from out of town or live in Pittsburgh this place is a must to go to . Very clean, Awesome atmosphere ,the food wow super good and the two young ladys I think the names where Elle and Leah wow best service I think I ever had better then a high class black tie place. Very beautiful supper nice and really Service. Check on you and they where so kind to not just me to everyone one . You get a lot for you buck and yes the quality is 100?%

We were strolling downtown had just arrived and wanted solid drinks and a snack and stumbled upon Forbes and it was phenomenal!! From Austin, 5 wings for $7 was unheard of and so glad I got them. They also have really good ranch which if you know, you know. We had quite a few mint lemonades and they were yum!! The Buffalo flatbread was very good with a buttery crust- awesome. The French onion soup was easily the best part and wow blew me away! This place was perfect- dark, relaxing, cozy, a dive bar to catch up with a friend of 20 years. Highly recommend!!

If you miss Wingharts, try Forbes. Great vibe, excellent burger. Cooked to temperature! Update: I went back. This time my burger was overcooked. It was still quite good (4 star good), but not to temperature like the first time. I like my medium rare! I will definitely go back again because I'm still a believer from the first time.

Stumbled on this gem while looking for a place to grab a drink and watch a football game with my wife. The staff were personable and attentive. We talked to a gentleman behind the bar for 5-10 minutes before finding out he was the GM. If you like chicken wings, no need to look anywhere else. They smoke them and have a fantastic sauce that will leave you wanting more. If you're looking for a cozy place with quality drinks, stellar food and friendly staff, this is your place.
