Over Eden

First time here! Stopped in for a snack and drinks before the Pens game and we were not disappointed. Great views from both inside and outside on the deck. Our group enjoyed delicious crafted cocktails and the seasonal Pumpkin Ale. Service was fast and friendly and the seating is great for groups large or small. Apps were fried brussel sprouts, buffalo chicken egg rolls, and roasted red pepper hummus. Next time we'll order again and have photos to share!

Over Eden was a pretty solid rooftop bar experience. The view to downtown, the strip, Lawrenceville, and across the Allegheny was all great from our railside table, although most won't be able to see into Lawrenceville. My partner described her cocktail (I forget which one) as "fine, if expensive", however in asking for two yuengling bottles they gave us cans, which wouldn't be too bad normally except that in that specific moment I really wanted a bottled beer. The seating and ordering experience was a little clunky as well, since there was a sign to say to wait for a host but the bartender ended up eventually telling us to seat ourselves, and then there was no menu QR at the table so we had to immediately go back inside to grab one. I'd give this another chance in a while.

This is a really cool spot and, thanks to the large roll up windows that cover one entire side of the room, there is an excellent view from almost anywhere in the restaurant (not just the awesome outdoor patio). We ordered the vegan beef tips and they were really good and the food came out quickly. Drinks were reasonably priced and were very good. They have been understaffed while we were there, I'm not sure. Overall it was a good experience, a really cool spot, good food and drinks and all around worth the visit, just not sure about the staffing situation. We will absolutely be back again.

On the top floor of the new TRYP hotel. Roof top bar with seating options inside and outside. Great view from anywhere you decide to sit. We were sat around their fire pit, very comfortable for conversation and to put share plates around. We had a light meal, dips plates and a short rib, food was very good. Plenty for 6. Staff was friendly. Beer, wine, cocktails, and house curated non alcoholic beverages available.
