The Pub In The Park

I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly. It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.

A true corner pub with all the best neighborhood vibes, friendly staff, and scrumptious bar bites. I wasn't looking for anything too greasy, so I settled for a chicken wrap, and it really hit the spot! The side salad was also legit -- NOT just bagged lettuce that some places will throw on a plate, but real vegetables. If you do want a bit of a treat, the buffalo cauliflower was gobbled up pretty quick at our table!

We found this place very close to home because it has a dog friendly patio. We did not go in, so I am not sure of the inside atmosphere, but the patio was great. It has about 5 tables that can seat 4 or 6. The food was good. (I forgot to take pics). We had 2 appetizers, the jalapeño poppers egg rolls and Buffalo cauliflower. And 2 sandwiches, an impossible burger and a cheese steak wrap. The were both good, but the dip that came with the sweet potato fries was top notch. The waiter called it a marshmallow dip, that was not an accurate description. It was an elevated fluff dip that was delicious. They have great drinks as well. We got margaritas and an IPA that was fruity with 9.5% alcohol. I highly recommend.

If you go there "during the day", you will get excellent service. If you go there "after hours" (e.g.9:30p on a Sat) you will not get service if you sit away from the bar. After 10-15 minutes, if you ask for service, even a beer, you will be informed "The kitchen is closed" and that is all. No offer to grab a beverage, nothing.

I took my dog there and the staff and patrons were so nice when we came in! It was our first time and I wasn’t sure how to get to the outdoor patio, so I brought my dog in through the bar and she got lots of attention and love! The staff promptly filled a water bowl for her and gave her treats. Service was fast and food was great! The deck was clean and had lots of seating. Will definitely be coming back!

If you're debating about where to eat tonight, choose this spot. Their food has no right to be so delicious, especially at the price point. I recommend the fries and any of the sandwiches. They also occasionally have smoked food that are out of this world. I saw a sign hanging that said they have Trivia on Thursdays, which is also wing night. Drinks are a tad on the expensive side so it's not a good spot to go just for drinking. There's dog-friendly outdoor seating, dining room seating, and bar seating. The inside tends to be extremely loud to an uncomfortable degree so I recommend asking for outdoor seating. There appears to be a TV outside that I assume is used for sports games.
