Romano's Macaroni Grill

This place was just ok. We went before a movie, it was in the back kinda hidden and was not busy at all. The prices for the quality and taste were high. The waitress was nice and the food came out fast. We ordered appetizers, dinner and salad. I was not to happy about what we got. The meatballs tasted like Turkey, the pasta was tasteless. The mushrooms were good though. I dont think I will eat here again, the price is was to high for the low quality food they serve you.

I've been going to this location for the past 20+ yrs. I've seen many changes. My husb and I still enjoy the food, certain meals when we eat here. But we do stick with certain meals bc they are cooked right. They prices are higher than they used to be for the amount of food you get on some meals. I remember when I used to get 3 pieces of chicken in the Chicken Scallopini. But the quality is still excellent and when I order my extras they don't complain. The wait staff is usually very nice and the restaurant is clean. They have an Opera singer on the weekends, sometimes, who is very good but the background music is loud. Just beware for sensitive ears as mine. We sit in the bar area instead. As long as the taste and quality of the food stay the same, then I don't mind paying the prices for now.

The food was great, decided to eat here while we waited on our movie's showtime to come. The food was perfect and everything tasted great. Excellent service, James was very attentive and very helpful with recommendation, as me and a friend had never been there before, super friendly and we felt comfortable as we waited and looked around the place. Will definitely be coming back

I usually don't write reviews but this one deserves it. We just spent $33 dollars for half bowl of pasta and 1/3 of the size of a regular calamari appetizer. I'm not gonna lie, the pasta was good, but the calamari was TERRIBLE. Cold, small portion and tasted like leftover frozen fries. Romano's Macaroni Grill is not your average Olive Garden. It's held to a higher standard. Worst money ever spent on a restaurant.

Poor experience all around. Kentrell, our server, was completely in the weeds. There were several open tables. I think they did not have enough wait staff. Hostesses were not accommodating. We watched an elderly couple, she with a walker and he walking boot, standing for well over 15 minutes waiting to be seated. We ordered pollo caprese and shrimp portofino with soup/salad. The salad came out alone and 8 minutes later, the soup, lobster bisque, arrived.The soup was thin, runny and did not have much of a lobster taste. Then two minutes later, Kentrell handed the entrees to us. We had to make room on the table for our entree plates. I had maybe an inch of water in my glass and Kentrell asked if I wanted more. I said yes. He left the table, returned with another glass surprisingly quickly, put it in front of my daughter and walked away. The empty glass and salad plate remained. He did not ask about the entrees. The pollo dish was not correct and the food was cold - it did not have any pomodorino sauce, just dry chicken, which was very thin and small. The shrimp dish had only six shrimp and the lemon butter sauce was off; not bad, just not right. When Kentrell finally stopped long enough to check and address our table, we were done. I complained about the soup and its timing. Kentrell said he'd take it off. When the check came, the soup was still on the ticket. He didn't remove any of our finished dishes, even for the check. We wanted to speak with a manager, but never saw one. I do not recommend this location.

This was my first time here, and unfortunately, i cant say i will be returning. We were never told there would be a long wait time on food, and with only 2 tables seated in the restaurant when we arrived, we didnt expect it. An hour and 10 mins in, all adult drinks empty, bread eaten, and table filled with doodles from my 3 patient children, and no food. Likewise, other nearby tables are complaining of no service. When our food arrived, it was average, definitely not worth an hour wait, and no continued service. My spouse went without his drink for a majority of the meal. We did, however, see the manager/chef leave the kitchen numerous times to redirect staff, who were literally just doing busy work until the food cooked. I must say that though they explained that they were understaffed after having to ask the chef (i could imagine you would know if you were understaffed, and wouldnt have to inquire on it), i was very confused how they comped us only our drinks and 2 soups, and we still left with a bill over $70 for very sub-par service. They may consider cutting down on servers, if they sit idly by, and increasing chefs to move the food more quickly.

We go to Romano's Macaroni Grill often after movies (its right next door to Legacy Cinemark). My favorite dish is the Ossobuco (not always on the menu), followed by the Braised Lamb Shank, Mushroom Ravioli then the Grilled Pork Chop. This visit I had the Sausage Rigatoni - it was a little spicy & a little sweet - very filling, comfort food. My daughter LOVES the signature truffle mac + cheese. Always a great meal, and excellent service.

SUMMARY: good staff, bland pizza, uncomfy seats. (1) The Good Stuff: The atmosphere was nice; the staff was great; I had never been to a Macaroni Grill before so seeing the paper and crayons on the tables was a neat surprise. (2) My order: I got the portobello fries (not pictured) which were pretty good. One serving was good enough to share with one other person. I loved the sauces it came with. I also ordered the pizza in the picture. The waiter described it as like a medium when I asked before ordering it. 8 slices total, perfect size for you and a date or something. (3) Complaints: I had a booth, which was awkwardly spaced. If you sat in the seat such that your back was resting on backrest, then you would be too far to enjoy the food on the table. I gave up the back rest to be closer to the table, but then the seat itself turned out to be uncomfortable: you could feel the springs inside and feel the uneven wear that has accumulated over the years. The food was okay, it was hot and all. But flavor wise, quite bland. Do not pass on the cracked pepper when offered.
