El Rancho Los Laureles

Been going here each weekend for roughly 6 months bc it is across the street from our house, we can drink and walk home so it was convenient. However, quality has gone down! And has changed owners and names about 4 times. Small portions and food is flavorless. Better off going to Chuys or Casa Mama for better fajitas. Even the authentic platters are not very good, esp for the price. What bothered me the most is that the service absolutely sucks.female servers are just trying to get some from the male clients, and if u are a couple, forget about it, you won't get attention from them... better sit at the bar. The servers only tend to 1 or 2 clients the entire night (want to be cantina girls). Bartender on the weekends is great, personable and fast unlike rest of the staff.music is pure full blast Mexican, even during lunch, so not really welcoming to anyone else who comes in, plus they change DJs and have drunken mariachi karaoke Fri and sat, full blast, making it uncomfortable. we went tonight for some beers, waited 10 min while the server was hanging out w her friends (who were rude to us when we left), and no one ever tended to us. All 4 servers looked at us while we sat at the bar (apparentt bartender was sick), but never came to take our order. There was only 1 table of guests, which were the friends I mentioned earlier,.yet all 4 servers were checking on them, walked right by us, and just kept walking. some old lady w a computer was singing, and as usual there were only about 2 or 3 guests around the bar as usual, apart from servers friends who were abnoxious. Sorry but we r paying customers, we didn't show up to beg for free food or drinks so we left after waiting bc our money can go somewhere else. When we were leaving, the servers friends were waving bye to us and laughing, until I asked my husband if this was a bar or SEA WORLD (they were all atleast 300 lbs), and they shut up. Anyway, those are the types they want there, so Won't be coming back and don't recommend anyone else to go either. What used to be an at least convenient bar around the corner has turned into a disappointing and uncomfortable place.
