Rendeavous Restaurant

Let me preface this review by saying this used to be my go to restaurant in Point Cook. I have passed many a milestone birthday, valentines day and anniversary here. How things have changed. If the owner sees this, you need to go and eat in your restaurant! We were the only table in the whole place. The female server had a full face of makeup and a neck covered in hickies (love bite bruises) why would you not cover these! Appearances aside she was not friendly, slapped our food at the end of the table for us to serve ourself, neither said enjoy your meal nor asked how our meal was at the end. I used to get rib eye on the bone here - it was to die for. The steak now is small, gristly and overcooked. The staff stood in the kitchen laughing with each other and the chef. We weren't offered deserts nor checked on for refills of drinks. Again, we were the only table in the whole restaurant! To say this establishment has gone downhill is an understatement. It is awful. And this makes me incredibly sad as I sat in the booth and remembered all the good times I had there. I'd honestly give zero stars if I could.

We went out for dinner tonight at Rendezvous and we were very disappointed unfortunately. The waiting staff was great! But there were only 4 tables including ourselves. We were waiting 40 minutes for our food, i ordered the steak with veggies, mushroom sauce and garlic butter my partner ordered the steak with salad and chips with mushroom sauce and garlic butter and 2 fried eggs. When we finally got our order the steaks were cold not even a little bit warm and not cooked how we asked, the mash potatoes tasted like the packet potatoes, the gravy was like the coles Gravox packet mix, the butter was frozen solid and didn’t even melt because everything was cold.

Just came home from what was supposed to be a nice Mother’s Day lunch but it was a disaster. The food took almost 2 hrs to come and the taste was subpar. A lot of the customers left because they got tired of waiting for food. I had to remind them to at the very least give us our entree first which was the garlic bread because we’ve been waiting for so long. They didn’t even offer to make our drinks free even though it was only 2 jugs of soft drinks. Offered a $10 off instead. We came here because someone recommended the place but definitely won’t be coming back here again.

We are mortified with our experience. We booked this place for 11 of our guests to celebrate our son's birthday. We called to ensure that they were open. The cafe had provided us with numerous confirmations. We had turned up on the day with all our guests and the doors were locked. I tried to call them with no answer. I will never go here again and strongly advise everyone to avoid it.

I didn’t enjoy my meal at all! It was below average and It is a place I frequent attend. I have had many steak meals and have cooked tonnes of steaks in my life time, but nothing like asking for a steak to be cooked medium! My steak came out well done and not even rested! The ribs were the most disgusting ribs I have ever eaten! It tasted chewy and it was like eating one of them store bought ready to heat ribs from Aldi! Ya need to employ a proper chef! Not happy!

If you want to eat ribs and steak, DO NOT EAT HERE!!! please do yourself a favour and take your money elsewhere, like a place that know how to cook these dishes. Worst I’ve ever had. Find better ribs at the supermarket and cook a better steak at home. Kids cheeseburger was dry. Food took so long to come out. Dessert is ok, because they're just heating up pre-made cakes and serving with cream and ice cream. Calamari wasn’t too bad. Servers are attentive enough. Very pricey for really really horrible food. Please DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

went here last night with some friends for dinner. the three of us were one of two tables in the entire restaurant and the staff were acting as if the restaurant was full. as we were ordering the staff could not understand what we were saying and despite us pointing to what we wanted they still brought out the wrong food. when we told them the food was not what we ordered they looked at us like we were speaking a different language. when it came time to pay we asked to split the bill and the woman looked at us like we had shot her dog in front of her, she then walked off to get some help on how to split the bill and when the second woman came over she still had no idea. floor staff need to be knowledgeable about the menu and need to be taught how to use the POS before actually serving customers.

Mother’s Day 2022…. Ok I guess they were quite busy, but obviously very disorganised between wait staff & kitchen. 5 of us had a booking for 1pm & didn’t get our food till just after 3pm ! Two other tables of at least 8 people each table also got up & left after waiting for over an hour & a half for their food. When our order finally arrived (after waiting 2 hours), I was just about to say let’s go somewhere else…. they got the orders wrong, chips were old & the chicken in my Chicken Ceaser Salad was dry or over cooked or maybe old too..! Hmmmm don’t think we’ll be going back any time soon sadly. 😞
