El Cubanito Restaurant

Just ate there for the fist time and I was like what the hell no one is in here, this must be a bad spot. Five minutes later 4 more tables walk in. The food was spot on. Even though Cuban food in Miami is bit better in my opinion. But I have no time to drive down there just to eat. All in all this is my new Cuban spot to eat at

Let's start with the bad experience, at the end of this review there will be the positive traits this place has. It was my birthday, my boyfriend asked me what I wanted, I should have gone with Mofongo King and regret not having done so. My Seafood dish was good to taste, but something was off and I ended up with a bad case of diarrhea a few hours later, the flavor isn't all that great. My boyfriend had the steak milanesa, the meat was chewy and not good, the rice was bland. I will remind you guys when serving seafood, make sure that you are preserving it at the right temperature, luckily my food poisoning was mild and not severe or what I should do is call the health department on you. They also forgot to add the relleno de papa my boyfriend had ordered, they didn't charge him for it. Now the good, their customer service is actually good, I have never dealt with them, but I have heard their tone while my boyfriend is on the phone with them, and they are very nice. Their cuban sandwich is actually very good. Unfortunately, we will NEVER buy food from them again. I am afraid the food poisoning will be worst next time and I am not willing to risk it. If you do not have first hand knowledge of what cuban food should actually taste like, this may be the place for you, stay away from ordering seafood.
