Il Terrazzo

The menu is incredible in it's commitment to Italian food. Every dish is a classic and is served exactly how it's supposed to be. It's very rare to find authentic ragu bolognese, and here it's served daily. I'd love to try the carbonara sometime. That atmosphere is a little underwhelming. It's dim enough it can be hard to read the menu and the choice to have a television playing constantly (sound off) is a bit of an odd one. Meanwhile there is music playing but it's smooth jazz and doesn't really fit the setting or the cuisine. The prices are high, the quality is great, and if you love authentic Italian food, or even if you're just curious, you have to give it a try

They do not take reservations for lunch but you didn't need it for when we came (week day in the winter). They do take reservations for dinner. This place overlooks the river with seating outside for warmer days. Food was great and all of the pasta seems to be made in house. Great wine selection as well. Came for a work lunch but will come back for a date night with the wife.

Popped in on a fully booked evening and managed to grab a table. Service was quick and helpful. Ordered the burrata and ragu della domenica which was a thick bolognese with fresh linguini. Both were incredible. Burrata was served on arugula, some kind of balsamic and pesto dressing and the cheese itself was so soft and full of flavour. The domenica was equally amazing with a depth of flavour that was clearly due to a really slow cooked ragu. So tasty. The cheese used was aged and real deal. Portland knows how to do Italian right. If you can grab a table, do it.

I couldn't be happier with the exceptional experience I had at Il Terrazzo in downtown Portland. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff at this restaurant were incredibly polite and professional. They promptly escorted me to my table and were attentive and accommodating throughout the entire dining experience. Their service was delivered with respect and a high level of precision. It was the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Il Terrazzo to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in downtown Portland. The combination of courteous staff, phenomenal cuisine, and delightful ambiance makes it a standout restaurant in the area.
