Small menu but each dish that we ordered was amazing. Small restaurant so there will be waiting but definitely worth the wait. If I have to find anything, it was a little dark and the music was a tad loud. But I suppose that was for the atmosphere. Clientele seemed as hip as the area the restaurant is located. The lamb dish I got was very tender. Smoked pork krapao was also a hit on our table. Great little restaurant in a block with other interesting options.

Oh my! What a place. This is truly a curry, barbecue, and cocktail place! Yet it works. Burnt ends in a coconut white curry! Who would have thought this would be marvelous!? Well, apparently these chefs. And it is marvelous! The cocktails are interesting, with a complex mix of ingredients. Our field green salad was amazing. It was described as a tamarind dressing and topped with toasted coconut, apple, and pickled shallots. It was a revelation! The sweet and sour fried chicken was tender and juicy. The aforementioned white curry with burnt ends was delicious, and the massaman curry was a wonderful rendition of this dish. The brisket chopped barbecue fried rice was tasty, but watch out for the pieces of hot peppers! Spicy for sure! The main downside is that they don't take reservations. This is, in my mind, a serious disservice to those who can't stand and wait. We waited at least 70-80 minutes for a seat. While we had cocktails while we waited in the tent tiny waiting area, drinks without food is generally not wise. The cocktails are fantastic. The wait is horrible. I cannot imagine a reason not to take reservations for at least a portion of your seats.

Oh my GOD this place has some delicious food. Loved the atmosphere. Thai tea was perfect, not too sweet. Shared the sweet and sour chicken, brisket BBQ fried rice, and the smoked pork krapao. Everything was incredible. Friendly service. Food came quick, and the atmosphere is chill. 5 stars. Can't say enough about this place! Been traveling the country for over a year and this is one of my top 5 spots I've been to which is saying something!

Chances are if you are reading this it's because you've heard that this place has amazing food and want to hear what others have to say and I can confirm the hype is real. This place is worth the trip. I ate here twice the first time getting the white curry with burt ends and it was an amazing blend of spice and smoke. I am admittedly a whimp when it comes to spicy food, and this dish was at the upper end of what I want in a dish, but it was worth every bite. I came back the next day for lunch to try the sweet & sour fried chicken and the chopped BBQ fried rice which were both incredible. Also, both drinks I had were great (life of luxury and have fun help each other). Overall this is a must visit if you are in Portland. The only downside is parking might be hard to find in the area (street parking only). I got lucky both I went and it wasn't an issue to park close and walk. Also, Eem doesn't take reservations so show up early if you want to get in because the line starts early, but it's worth the wait.

Fantastic experience! Super unique I've never had anything quite like it. It's a southern BBQ Thai fusion. We had smoked curry sausage that you could roll up into a spring roll, white Thai curry with smoked brisket burnt ends, and brisket fried rice all fantastic! They also do excellent blends of cocktails, all of which come in off the wall glasses. Service was super friendly and attentive 👍

The hype is real, the food is amazing here. Everything we ate here was so good and had the authentic Thai flavors. The white curry was creamy and paired really well with rice. The fried rice was so flavorful, I couldn’t stop eating this. The pork krapao was so tender and had my mouth flaming with the thai chilies.

We went for lunch one day without reservation and looking at the crowd outside, we expected a long wait. But we were seated immediately. Their huge windows were open and we really enjoyed the breeze on a nice summer day. The lunch menu was a little limited, in my opinion. We ordered the sweet& sour fried chicken, bbq fried rice with brisket and red curry with roasted vegetables. We found the fried chicken to be too greasy but the other two were extremely flavorful. Hoping to come again to maybe see a bigger menu and more vegetarian choices.

The place is very popular and apparently doesn't take table reservations - still long lines of people trying to get food! Food was delicious and their non-proof cocktails were also nice touch. Once they are full you can order to go boxes from the shack just outside, if you're fine with that. Overall great experience, I would recommend this place to my friends!

Delicious Food, but this place is very popular. Expect long waits, we waited over an hour just to put our name on a list. I think we waited 2hours to eat, but it excellent food. Friendly Staff. Decent Prices. Simplistic menu, but everything was delicious. Great Drink options. Cozy Atmosphere. Overall this place is legit just don’t show up and get mad you didn’t plan ahead for this treat.
