Damodar P30 This place is not new for PEOple ☺️ Recently, they have come up with a new menu #Maskaa....#MaarDaala from 5pm to 12 midnight.. So, we did a #foodtasting from their newly started menu! (I'll write about the menu soon) #PavBhaaji, this dish is cherished by everyone, for me it's a childhood treasure.. And their bhaji had a #Kick 😍 #HighlyRecommended When Alok, got this on our table I was extremely excited & happy by seeing the brown bhaji, it was eye pleasing.. Yes, the bhaji color matters alot.. The color showcases the true flavor of it.. #NoFoodColors used, in house #Masalas and don't need to explicitly mention the amount of #Amul butter that was poured in it😋 The in house dry & ओला मसाला, amul butter & Alok's passion to serve the best, made bhaji excellent in taste & delicious 😍 This is so far the best Pav bhaji I have ever had in #Pune, and mean it! A 30 years old cafe run by the family. The name "Damodar " is a tribute to their father's mentor whose name was Damodar. The P30 is the pin code of Pune. Satish and Supriya Thakar look after the place when their son Alok is not in town. When I entered the place, it gave me the impression that I was visiting a close family. Extremely welcoming clean no frills place and the aroma of misal starts the hunger pangs. We had the famous misal pau. They have a smoked variety which is presented with a lot of fanfare and it just adds to the mystery of the misal. And it is true. We then had the sabudana khichadi ..a typical maharashtrian dish. It reminded me of my Grandmother's cooking. Full marks !!! Then we tried the Jain upma. This I felt lacked a punch. But it was tasty. Lastly the Chai. That was so so good !!! I recorded how the Chai was made. It was a special chai, you have to try it. Its an elaborate preparation and made with love. What can I say about the experience. Fantastic. You have to go there to try the food and experience the hospitality. There is a washroom and the place is clean. They won the Times of India award for the best Misal Pau in Pune. Three cheers !!! No wonder as the kitchen is dominated by ladies ....woman power

Location bibewadi , Damodar P30 is managed by the Thakar family where both husband and wife are completely involved in running the restaurant. Known for snacks, they completed 30yrs of business on 11th April(yesterday) As a special offer the price were kept the same as 30 yrs ago when they started for one day. Pohe @Rs 3/- per plate Sabudana khichadi @Rs. 5/- per plate Misal @Rs. 7/- per plate My review... It was Very crowded,and waiting was long. however it was well organized. The service was too good, staff was pleasent and polite. Since everyone was crowding around them but they managed to keep up a good tempo. Seating and tables were kept clean all the time. Now for the food,the misal was spicy, had a tarri and very tasty. The poha served with the misal were also soft and made well. The Sabudana khichadi was soft, mild spiced and really nice. Served with roasted peanut and green chutney which I didn't take. This kind of marketing activity needs extra efforts from each and every staff... amazing. Kiddos to team Damodar 👏 They are known for serving good Pav bhaji and have introduced Alphanso (Hapus) milk shake . Which I will go back for. Definitely worth trying !
