Thorat's Barbeque Misal

Good place for Misal lovers to explore with unlimited option. I liked the concept and all the 4 rasa. Kolhapuri is pretty spicy and my personal favorite. Nashik/saoji has nearly saoji taste but can be better. Pune and Jain rasa are good too. The name of the restaurant seems misleading since I was expecting barbeque flavor in the misal which is not the case. Its just barbeque style sitting. Overall worth exploring different misal flavors from different corners of Maharashtra.

Four types of Rassa are served and kept hot with coal. Very reasonable as unlimited misal costs rs.99 pp, The advantage is you can have 4 types of base curries on your table viz. Kolhapuri (Red Spices), Nashik (Black Spices), Puneri (Hot & Sweet Red Spices), and Jain curries in four separate bowls put in a big barbeque tray along with other ingredients like a Boiled sprout, Onion, Lemon, Potato Bhaji, Curd, Pharsan, etc in separate bowls. You can mix ingredients as per your choice & have your choice/of customized Misal. Also, a basket of pieces of bread is included. The barbeque Misal is unlimited with all curries-ingredients & pieces of bread which costs you Rs.99/. I Enjoyed also a great taste.

Thorat's Misal has 4 different types of Tarri / Rassa - Jain, Puneri, Kolhapuri & Nashik chi Kali Tarri. They serve unlimited misal. The taste is above average and if barbeque is functional, it makes the Tarris worthy, which is true only during weekends. We loved Kala Rassa Tarri and Puneri Tarri, Kolhapuri Tarri is a bit spicy while Jain seemed to be on bland side. The service is a bit slow during the weekends due to high footfall during the brunch time. However, it fills your tummy to the fullest considering the quality and quantity of the misal served. Overall , worth a try.

Along with Poha, alu, misal, dahi, and kandaa Now about place it grate place to go with family and friends Ambience is alo good Fast service taste is also good, though not as per nasik misal Would give 8 point compare to nasik misal Parking is available but only 5-6 cars can be parked.

From 1st Sept 2021 it's 108 per person unlimited misal. 4 types of misal rassa(gravy) puneri, nashik, kolhapuri and jain with dahi, matki, kanda limbu, batata chi bhaji, sukke pohe(pohe were dry both the times, but offcourse misal is the main item to concentrate on), farsan, and paav. Highlight - out of all 4 rassas kolhapur being the best then nashik, pune and jain as per their spicyness and tastes.. Barbecue setups are readily available but u will have to ask for it to light them coal otherwise most of them were slaked coal. Overall it was a good brunch experience.
