Restaurant Ness

I was excited to try this place out as we don't have many vegan restaurants in my hometown. The cashier was very friendly and helpful even though I don't speak French. I got some kind of deluxe avocado burger. The food was good, but nothing really special. I went to another nearby vegan restaurant that I like better the next day. NESS has a great location, though.

We stumbled upon this little treasure of a place. The people were extremely friendly, the portions were generous and the price was very affordable! Between the two of us, we had the soup, a salad, lasagna and grilled goat cheese sandwich as well as one of the fresh juices. Everything was delicious - savory food made with fresh ingredients that energized you. We will definitely go back when we return to the city.

What a great little place! Love the vegan, vegi options. Almost all of the menu has no dairy which is delightful for someone like myself who thinks cheese is basically the devil. It's hard to find good fresh food that isn't plastered in butter. THIS is the spot! Lots of taste, all fresh, & an English menu if you aren't great with French.

A very nice lady spoke with us in good English and was very patient with us even though they were about to close -- by the way, the place closes early in the early weekdays. There was a range of food, all looking good and balanced. Even with fussy eaters, we had more than enough food, and were able to pick 4 items from the menu. A little pricey, but due to the late hour, we chose to take the food home rather than eat there, meaning we put the rest in the fridge and will have enough food for another meal tomorrow. This is especially good as we are here on holidays. We chose two deserts as well, and were satisfied with the nutty cheesecake and moist, soft carrotcake. Overall, quite satisfied.

Take this with a grain of salt since I've only been once... but this place served up my delightful last meal in Quebec after days of perusing meat-heavy menus for veggie-friendly Items. The deluxe veggie burger was on the reasonable side of expensive by Quebec standards (~15$ with tax) but it was one of the tastiest veggie burgers I've had -- fresh, nicely toasted, good flavors... Not the processed taste (or digestive experience) of cheap veggie burgers you get at the grocery store. I took the burger to-go, but seems like there's a quite nice place in the back to eat if you want to sit in. Clean bathrooms too.
