Beasley's Chicken & Honey

Pretty good not perfect but I feel like if I went again it would be better. Chicken was slightly burned everything was very hot except the biscuit was slightly cold. I can tell that if it was executed better it would have been really good and it probably is most of the time so I'm going to come back. The server was really nice.

The food was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was lively and popping! There was a crowd the whole time I was there. There's light music playing in the background, but you may not hear it with all the merriment going on. There's a parking lot next door that is reasonable. I was charged $2.00 for 1-2hrs. The Apple Streusel Biscuit Bread Pudding is to die for!!! I would definitely "slap my mama" for another bite!

I went on a Wednesday for lunch and it was amazing. I got fried chicken legs with drizzled honey and a side of buttermilk biscuits. The chicken was delicious and the biscuits were phenomenal. The atmosphere was a industrial brick with steel bar stools for chairs and the service was kind and fast. In summary it was a five star experience.

I get the same thing every time I go here so I can’t recommend a lot from the menu but only because I haven’t tried it. That said, I’m in here a couple times a month to get the best fried chicken I’ve had in Raleigh. And as good as the chicken is, the collard greens are better. I round the meal off with an order of fries. The fries are a good size for sharing and they come with a choice of dipping sauces… Finally tried the Mac and Cheese and recommend it without reservations. It’s very homey. A great ‘baked’ M&C with a crusty chewy cheesy top, a mild spice from the pimento, and a great melty texture.

This amazing restaurant was mentioned to me by homegirl! We came after going to the Black Boy Art Show on Sunday! Can I just say the food was amazing, I got the chicken and honey with Mac and cheese and collards oh and the drink, I forget the name but I’ll post the picture! The server was super kind and friendly! (I added whatever their hot sauce or heat to my entire meal) oh yeah if you can’t handle the heat haha get it on the side! I’m coming back fo sho! Definitely recommend this place!!!!
