Oak City Cafe

Went to breakfast. Service was good. The food was very good, cooked perfect, visually appealing and just the right portions size to fill you up without being overly full. I went when they first opened up and the experience wasn't great but they definitely worked out the bugs. I will be back again to try lunch next time.

About a year ago when they first opened I gave them a five star rating with no actual review. In that year they have become my go to breakfast place so I figured I'd update this. The food is always great quality and seasoned well. The owners go out of their way to speak with my fiance and I every time we come in. The lunch menu is great as well and they move fast so their takeout is perfect for lunch.

The food was incredible! My wife found it through TripAdvisor, and we were not disappointed. We had steered away because of the prior restaurant at that location, but it is neat and clean now. I had an Indian appetizer and platter. Best Indian food I have ever had, and I have Indian friends from high school and college that toom me to their favorite places. We ordered a side of fries since the fries got such great reviews. It may be strange to review fries, but they were awesome. All of the food was obviously made with very fresh ingredients and absolutely perfectly cooked. Can't say enough good about this place and the charming couple that runs it. Will now be a regular stop.

Stumbled upon this cozy diner on a rainy day in Raleigh. As soon as we arrived, the owner immediately greeted us at the door and made sure we were settled in our seats. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Kitchen Sink, and the skillet warmed me right up. I highly recommend this dish. In this family-run restaurant, the owner came to check up on us and chat with us throughout the meal, and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, we had an absolutely amazing experience and both the food and service were fantastic. Would definitely go back again!

This place is highly recommended. I ordered the gyro which came with tater tots. The tots were good, however I don't really eat them. The gyro was awesome. They have specials everyday and today was Friday which was $1 beers with wrap and sandwiches. I am also including a photo of the Indian food specials they serve. I will be trying that next time. The fries were also very good. You should try it out. A cute little Indian couple own it.

Don't let the location fool you (next to Days Inn)! This diner is AMAZING! Seriously, my husband and I both commented that it's the nicest diner we've ever been to. The menu is eclectic, and there's something for everyone. We shared the samosas (the owners are Indian) as an appetizer, and they were a delight! I had an omelette that was perfect--not greasy at all and very flavorful. The hubby had a mushroom swiss burger that was on point, and a beer that was on special. On top of the great food, the service was excellent! Very personable and timely. And the prices were exceptionally reasonable, especially given the quality of the meals. Anyway, we will be back! Love this place. A new favorite hidden gem.

Hidden gem! Great menu, super friendly people, fantastic prices and really tasty food. We had the Hawaiian chicken, fish tacos, shrimp and grits, and samosas for an appetizer. Everything was really good and clearly made fresh and with care. Lots of vegetarian and even some vegan options too. It's nice to see a locally owned mom and pop restaurant in an area full of chain fast food places. We'll be back!

Wife and I were craving some breakfast on a Friday night and we found this little place - it was fantastic ! Absolutely the best French Toast I have ever had and all our food was delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying some of the lunch and dinner options. The owners are extremely nice and go out of their way to make sure you are happy.

Very surprised by this place. The food was amazing. We were looking for a breakfast place with good food but something a bit different and we decided to give this place a shot. I am honestly sad that I had not tried it before today. Great customer service. They truly deserve and have earned this five star rating.
