White Horse

Popped in to watch the England vs Argentina rugby matched.... plenty of TV screens around the pub to choose from. Really warm welcome from the bar staff. Dogs are allowed and they even sell dog ice cream, which was perfect for today, the hottest day of the year. Ordered some snacks - the nacho platter was massive and full loaded with cheese and chilli's, and the halloumi fries with chilli dipping sauce hit the spot. (Last orders were 8.30pm on a Saturday night).

First visit here, a nice decorated pub/restaurant, very busy, so had to eat in the bar area. We were fine with this as were too hungry to wait for a table, would however have liked to have sat in the restaurant area. The manager and lady at the bar were friendly. We had steak for dinner, mine was cooked perfectly, but my boyfriends was quite fatty and chewy unfortunately. No napkins or salt at the table, and nobody asked us how our meal was. These little things just add that special touch. All in all was a nice place, and would return to give it another go as the manager was very friendly and the atmosphere was good.

A friendly pub with good quality food and drinks. The staff are helpful and service is great. There are seating outside as well and a convenient car park. Some areas could do with a coat of paint and are in need of decorating. For instance WC in and out and there’s large stain on the carpet right at the entrance to the kitchen!
