Not authentic at all whatsoever. Seriously is there not one shawarma or euro place in Reno? The taste was alright but it had nothing to do with shawarma. Small inside with like 3 seats, so get ready to grab your food and go cause if there are 2 people inside you aren't sitting down in that small area.

We just moved back to the area, and I'm SO glad we found this place! The staff were very cool and nice, the decor is fun, and the food is unbelievable! Huge portions and some of the best Falafel I've EVER had! Will definitely be going back for more!

Food is trash, paid $70 for shawarma wrap, bowl and fries. Fries were burnt and over salted. Wrap was disgusting, food is not even fit for animals. Should have gone with my instincts from the looks of the food but still tasted it and spit it out. Save your money.

"Anyone without a sense of humor is too pretentious to be a good magician." ~Anton Szandor LaVey (The Secret Life of a Satanist: The Authorized Biography of Anton LaVey) If you happen to take the time to scroll down my little profile here you will find that I am not shy about WHAT I put into my mouth, food-wise. WHERE I actually sit and savor said food, is a different story. That being said, Shawarmageddon is one of the most eccentric places I have had the pleasure of dining. The musical selections, vibe, and energy (and screech of the "Gate to Hell" (the door actually leading into the kitchen, as the chef gleefully called it as I was his first customer of the day on the day of my visit)) all add to the lair-like ambiance and simplistic decor of the establishment. I was impressed, to say the least, at how the intended theme of Shawarmageddon far exceeded its mark. The moment of truth came by way of a brown paper sack and wrapped in a sheet of custom logo imprinted sandwich/meat/deli paper. This added level of attention to detail was also impressive. The wrap I selected was as flavorful as it was stuffed with tender lamb (sorry Jesus), savory spices, sauces, and crisp veggies; with just enough heat to let you know that "Hell" is gonna require a lot of ice (if that's the intended choice of your eternal final destination). The spiced house brewed tea I selected was equally flavorful and refreshing. Not one to ever judge a book by its cover, I have to say I'm glad I finally stopped by and elated that I made it out of Shawarmageddon unscathed and with my soul intact. Although, after reviewing some of the pictures, I realize it was a close call, indeed...

What can I say about a legend? This was one of the single best eating experiences of my life. I scarfed my shawarma down like a starving goblin underneath a stairwell. It was well seasoned, delicious, and super filling. More than enough for two meals, and because of that I won't eat a full meal the rest of the day. The ambiance of it is quite literally shoved under a stairwell, and it was a truly hidden gem. I wish that I had moved to Reno before, and had eaten there more than once. Today, Reno has lost a legend. I was one of the last customers, and will cherish that meal for weeks and years to come. The restaurant is now, unfortunately closed. Hopefully not forever. 06/12/22 Enjoy the Pie guys, let me know how you like the recipe.

I was looking for a gyro, they offered me a lamb wrap. I’ve never had shredded lamb with 3 times the amount of cabbage mixed in a 12 inch cold wrap. And kind of way over priced.

I got the lamb wrap, partner got the chicken wrap. Also got a side of fries. Fries were bomb! Wraps were terrible. Inedibly spicy, no hummus even though we asked for it, lamb was flavorless, chicken was flavorless and dry. Neither of us even finished the wraps. Dude at the counter was a nice guy though.

Place is creepy. Wraps had too much cabbage and smelled like vinegar. I ordered the Lamb wrap and it didn't taste like lamb. Maybe shredded meat something. I trashed it. Cashier was rude to one of our colleagues when asked to cut the sandwich in half and slammed the door on our way out. I'm never going back there.
