Simply Good Take Out

Came here for the first time, ordered tacos and the meat had a weird taste and smell. I asked the waitress for chips and salsa and she said that some people don't eat them and if I was sure I was going to eat them, she brought them along with the salsa, the chips were stale and were broken into small pieces, I believe they don't throw away what people leave on the tables and that's why they were like that. Customer service was bad I would never go back to this nasty place!

I came in and asked for suggestions because I am from out of town and never been there. I decided on the tacos. I asked for them plain as I have several allergies. I got back to my office and they were not plain. I took one bite and started swelling up so I had to give them to a coworker. I am super bummed.

We loved it. The music was on the loud side but you can still hold a conversation. Four families were already seated and they were having a great time. My husband comes for The Mojarra Frita (fried tilapia). It was fried to perfection! I got the Chicken Enchiladas. This dish has a great flavor. It is not salty, if that's what you like, simply ask for some. Salt is not on the table along with anything that was covid restricted. Our neighbors seated next to us had a gorgeous presentation of 3 molcajete dishes served to them! Guess what?! We will be trying that next time!

Literally the best carnitas I have ever had! That is saying a lot considering I lived in So-Cal for over 20 years. They achieved the perfect charred crust while keeping the the center of the meat juicy and delicious. Outstanding! Feeling adventurous? Try the goat meat Birra Soup. Bold, earthy and delicious. They make their own Tortillas by hand! You cannot get any more authentic than that. Perfectly prepared street tacos. El Pastor is top notch. Can't wait to go back and try their seafood. Yet, I will be honest...it will be very difficult ordering anything other than the carnitas. World class!!!

I asked for a mojarra frita which is a fried tilapia fish. The fish was already bad. It was nasty and I could not even hold it in my mouth, let alone eat it. I let the waitress know which she offered to exchange it for a different plate. At the time of paying she was charging for both plates because the owner did not want to reduce it. The owner who was inside the kitchen and looking at me refused to talk to me. The waitress felt bad and only charged me half of the plate I did not consume against the owner's will. Never coming back! One Star is overrated.
