The Old Beams Inn

As soon as you walk in to the old beams , you get a vibe its friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Service is best I have experienced. Food is top notch!! Plus the end of the meal my friend was presented a fab board with special treats and happy birthday message 😍 My family all say definitely visit to eat again

Went for a quick beers with a friend and the people that have taken it over are really turning it around. Nice ambiance, professional but polite serve at the bar. I'm going back to try the food when I can and I'll update to let you all know how it is! P. S. You'll get your fifth start when you get a decent pool table 😊

My partner and I had the amazing opportunity to eat at The Old Beams Inn this week whilst we were visiting the New Forest, luckily on their Thai and steak night. We ordered a scallop starter which was perfectly cooked and seasoned with lovely pea puree and melt in the mouth pork belly, it was absolutely delicious. We then both had the fillet steak cooked to whatever the chef would recommend and it was honestly the best steak that both of us have ever had, we had the fillet and it was deeply flavoured with a lovely charred crust on the outside, it was so tender in the centre, I ordinarily wouldn't eat a steak cooked to what appeared to be rare but the chef certainly knows what they are doing, it was outstanding and we are still dreaming of the whole meal. What particularly stands out to me is that my partner didn't even pick up the salt to add more, everything was just perfectly seasoned and dressed. The front of house were attentive and incredibly welcoming, not just to us, it was quite quiet at the beginning of evening bookings but we could hear them being so lovely to everyone that entered. Despite the September heatwave the restaurant was at an ideal temperature. We wished we lived locally and we're considering moving just to be closer and go through the whole menu!
