Famous Anthony's

Please don’t order here. I placed a to go order and upon returning home found that my salad shell was burned, I barely had any chili (although I ordered double), and the baked potato I had ordered wasn’t cooked and had no cheese which was added on as well. I called and spoke with the manager asking for a refund on this part of my order (taco salad and baked potato). She was extremely rude and basically insinuated I was lying because “She fixed the order herself”. She stated she would “give me a new taco salad another day” and continued to repeat this when I stated I simply wanted a return as I would not be returning to eat with them. She refused. Please avoid going through this situation after a long day at work like I should have by choosing another location with better service.

Ordered a chicken Caesar salad...food was decent. But Jesus Christ the service was atrocious. Coworker had to send his undercooked steak back. 2 of us sat with empty glasses on the table for over 10 minutes. 2 servers, including ours, walked by or stopped at our table 4 times each and neglected to even ask if we wanted more beverage. When I got up and went to front counter to ask for a refill, our waitress acted clueless as if she didn't understand the concept of "refill". Won't be coming back here. Service can make or break a food location, and it has broken it for me.

A friend and I went to brunch recently. It was out first time at this particular location and there was a bit of a learning curve. It's not evident where guests need to wait, if they need to wait or if it's seat yourself, or where you'd even wait to be seated. Once we were seated, right next to the kitchen, it was pretty evident that the staff were giving it their all. Inside was basically full and outside was fairly full, so I cut everyone a ton of slack as everyone was running like crazy. We ordered our food and while it didn't come quickly it did come, but my order was wrong. My order was corrected without me asking, but the food was OK. Coffee was always topped off and otherwise service was as good as could be expected for how busy the staff was. The only other real complaint I had was how loud it was. Maybe it was because we were right by the kitchen, in combination with the crowd, but I almost had to yell at times to talk to my friend. I'll definitely give this location another shot and see how it goes.

My wife and I eat regularly at Famous Anthony’s, primarily at their Crystal Spring location. Meals are always good for the price and service is almost always solid. But tonight was an exception. It is unacceptable to be totally ignored by your server. A 15-20 wait to get your check after finishing your meal is ridiculous and I only got my check then because I went to the register without it. Can someone please train Madison in simple waiting skills? My gosh, she only had two tables!!

We waited 15 minutes for drinks, when we told the waitress we were ready to order, she said she had to tell another customer that they couldn't make their salad but she'd be right back. 10 minutes more and no waitress. Other waitresses was complaining about waitress one then told a couple to have a seat and she'd wipe their table off in a minute. Waitress two then says she is going to have a smoke and "they can just sit there and wait fo me to come back" that was the last straw we left. Those who were wearing their masks it was under their noses and the rest of the staff was wearing them on their chins. The restaurant was dirty with food on tables and not cleaned up. This one has gone extremely downhill.

I had a rather unfortunate experience at Famous Anthony's today. My husband and I just live down the road and wanted a quick breakfast. Once we were seated we became increasingly uncomfortable by the amount of patrons not wearing masks as they moved throughout and in and out of the restaurant, but what really got us, was our waitress REMOVED her mask and leaned in to speak to us and continued to remove her mask at all of the other tables and IN THE KITCHEN ARE WHERE FOOD WAS BEING PREPARED. This goes directly against the Virginia Department of Health and the CDC COVID-19 guidelines. The tables were also not 6 feet a part. The real kicker was when our breakfast was delivered to us our waitress gave me grits instead of the home fries I ordered, but when I told her that, she opened her notepad and said, "You said grits." I told her I did not order grits (I never do and never would have). She did replace them quickly, but she seriously tried to tell me I ordered something I did not order in defense. I was extremely shocked that she would argue that with me. I found our experience to be very disappointing and our waitress to be extremely aggressive.
