Terminal A (Gate A12) have the best equipped, cleanest restrooms compared to many Airports I've been. Amenities in toilet (motion lights, seat liner dispenser, seat with a side tab for easy lifting, good size working door latches, good toilet papers ). Clean men's urinals have privacy walls. The sinks are clean, practical with motion sensing water and soap. Overall lighting is good but can be a little less bright.

This is the fourth time in the past year that I have used the Sacramento International Airport to take an early flight. I’ve flown on three different airlines out of the four trips. The airport is clean and well lit. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Most of the concessions are open early, so getting coffee or breakfast is easy and convenient. TSA and Airport employees are courteous and helpful. (at least that is my experience with them on these four early morning trips) There is no reason to travel all the way down to SFO, if your airline flies out of SMF.

The Samson Luggage Sculpture at Sacramento International Airport is a distinctive and captivating work of art composed of more than 700 individual pieces of luggage. Situated in the baggage claim area at Terminal A, this remarkable sculpture reaches a height of 23 feet. The luggage integrated into the sculpture spans from the early 20th century to the contemporary era, symbolizing the entirety of the period during which air travel has been achievable. Sacramento International Airport also excels in providing clear signage, making it easy for passengers to navigate the airport and locate their gates without confusion. The boarding process was smooth, and the boarding staff were attentive and organized. Sacramento Airport is absolutely comfortable for travelers, not big but big enough to handle all this passengers. All sides are efficient and fast from Check in to the gate approximately 5-10 minutes I like these smaller airports. And TSA pre not more the 1-2 minutes and I was through the security. Shuttle bus to the rental car area was also nice and efficient.

Nice airport. Been a few years since I've been through there, and it looks like its had a really nice remodel. Wasn't too busy when I went through, and it was very easy to find where I needed to go. Security was thankfully pretty quick to get through. Decent food and drink options in the terminal. Seats were comfy and there were plenty of places to charge up my electronics while waiting for my flight.

We are fortunate in Sacramento to have one of the nicest airports around. Though it's not the largest, it does continue to expand, and maintain its high quality of service. I fly out of Sac as often as possible because there is abundant parking, room to get around comfortably, a number of shops & eating locations, it's clean & well maintained, and numerous gates are available at the 2 terminals. The staff in Sacramento are always helpful & pleasant, as well. Recently I have used park & ride services offered by some local hotels. This is a great service too. If I have a choice, I always choose Sacramento International Airport. Recently I heard a great suggestion. If you are waiting for a ride to pick you up, have them meet you at the drop off level instead of the pickup level. There are far less cars there. More recently, I went to the airport and it was super crowded. The garage was full & had to park on the last tow of the daily lot. Was a long, long walk. It was so crowded. Just seems like more people are using the airport. Also they're doing road construction. Allow extra time to get to the airport.

I think every airport in the world is the face of the country, a specially if at the airport of Capital. I want to tell you that Sacramento International airport is a very beautiful, great place where always clean and comfortable. There are 2 Terminals A and B. When you need to move to Terminal B, you need to use a specialized train that will bring you for 1 min. If you need to move from Terminal A to Terminal B, you will spend approximately 8 minutes. This airport has beautiful decorations in Terminal B as a very beautiful big red bunny 🐰 looks like it jumping from ceiling to the floor it's a very beautiful sculpture. In terminal A also has amazing decorations as sculptures with lots of suitcases. I want to say this airport is a beautiful 😍 face of Capital of California. Love ❤️ it .
