Chipotle Mexican Grill

I visited on 12/13/23. The manager Taylor absolutely saved my experience from being a negative one. My receipt says 8:31pm so I’d say this situation happened at least 3 minutes before. I’ll be sharing my experience in detail so this will be a lengthy review. I arrived and tried to order 2 bowls with white rice. I was told by the employee making my bowl that they were out of white rice for the rest of the evening. I was shocked to hear that because I didn’t think they were so close to closing. My phone was in the car so I asked what time it was. She immediately became aggressive and tried to rush me. I then asked the other workers if they had the time. Taylor(the manager) told me the time and I repeated what I was told “Are y’all really out of rice the rest of the evening and you don’t close until 10?” That’s when Taylor said it would be 20-27 mins for white rice. I said ohhhh ok I wasn’t told that. I turned back to the employee who tried to act like she didn’t just say that and I said “You switched up when I asked others for help. You did not say that more rice was cooking.” She immediately got upset, cut me off when I tried to speak, was very rude & dismissive, became combative and even tried to accuse me of arguing with her and being upset. I truly was not upset. I was direct, yes. The other employees and manager heard and saw everything. I’m confident if I was aggressive or rude, her manager would’ve came to her defense. I really didn’t appreciate being rushed and lied to about rice. I asked the employee if I could speak and she would not hardly let me. She ended up storming off and hiding in the back of the restaurant after being rude and argumentative toward me. Her manager came and helped me and apologized. I also apologized if she felt I was rude to her employee. She said if she felt I was wrong she would’ve came to her defense. She did not. Which told me I was not in the wrong. I understand it has been a long day but wow. That was a lot. The manager was gracious & comp’d my bowl and did fantastic making it right. My experience here is normally good. That’s why I only took 1 star off. Thank you to manager Taylor for handling this situation with grace. I was shocked to be spoken to and treated that way…I’ve been eating Chipotle over 15 years. Even after she stormed off, the manager immediately assisted me and treated me with kindness. I appreciate it. I will continue to patronize this business and not let one negative experience ruin me being a loyal customer. Great management skills, Taylor:)

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a refreshing fast food restaurant serving great Mexican food. It's been nearly a decade since I visited a Chipotle Mexican Grill. I'm glad we visited this evening. I had forgotten how well and healthy the food is prepared. This is the best chipotle in all of the surrounding sacramento area. Paloma is the best manager I have ever talked to in my life. I feel like when she speaks the waters part ways and the mountains melt. She is always smiling and always laughing along with the rest of the crew at this location. Sounds too good to be true but go check it out for yourself and see! She goes above and beyond the call of duty and treats us customers (along with staff) as if we came from a royal bloodline! The food is always hot and always fresh, the lobby is spotless as I have seen people cleaning the bottoms of the tables on their hands and knees to keep the restaurant looking spectacular like it always does. The restrooms were also amazingly clean. I eat at this location 3 times a week or more and it's the only Chipotle that I frequent often, because of the quality and taste of the food is perfect and consistent every single time, in fact I can bank on this as it never deviates from day to day! I always get a barbacoa bowl one son gets steak tacos and the other a burrito but he decided to try a steak bowl Instead and really liked it and wanted to go back 2 days later. I would like more meat added so I think next time I will request double meat. It gets a little expensive but my bowl takes lunch and dinner to eat. Been a customer since the Sacramento Bee was putting Chipotle bags in their newspapers and if you took it to a restaurant they would give you a free burrito. This lasted about a month but worked well as it got them alot of repeat business.
