Cafe Yumm!

I tried the teriyaki chicken and it isn’t terrible but the food isn’t stunning good either. The chicken doesn’t even taste quite like chicken. Great restaurants have a brand taste to their food and this restaurant doesn’t seem to achieve that. It also appears the chicken is microwaved and sauces were just thrown on it. I’m willing to try more items from their menu but first impressions mean the most. Customer service is great. Won’t make it a priority to come here. 3 star review.

Our first time here and the experience was excellent! Customer service was top notch! Cashier recognized quickly that it was our first visit and truly made efforts to make sure we were going to be happy with our meal, including providing samples. The original yumm bowls are amazing! We'll definitely be back.

Interesting place to have a comforting bowl of goodness. Mostly vegan they do offer chicken as a protein and regular cheese (cheese can be swapped for shredded cabbage for vegans)for those that are non vegan. The bowl sizes are small, medium and large. You bus your own table and when eating in you can get your own water at the spigot on the condiments counter. The chili is ok and the curry soup picture looked good, I cannot recommend the vegetable soup as it is mostly a very oily tomato soup and very bland. Why the oil in the soup, makes no sense but that is what you get. I do recommend you try the rice bowls and the sietan skewers.

Our first trip to Cafe Yumm and were pretty excited until we walked in. After we shared this was our first time there with the cashier and she showed no interest; we quickly placed an order to go. We sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and oh did I mention we waited?!? Then after serving two other guests that had come in after we did and ordered; the cashier said "were sorry" and "its almost ready". After waiting a bit more, they finally brought us our order. At the same time they handed my husband a coupon for a "free yumm bowl", and shared they were training new staff. Once we got home what you see below is what we found. Disappointed to say the least. And, since several of my co-workers haven't been either; I can't wait to share my experience with them. Terrible; and we will not be back.

First visit to this franchise. Food was healthy and good. Very spacious and clean restaurant and restrooms. We ordered the Bento. I had the cauliflower rice with mine as an option. The cauliflower rice was very tasty with the teriyaki chicken. The slaw was ok and didn’t taste fresh. Overall would visit again to try other dishes.

Pretty disappointed by the portions, Being that the meal costs $12.00 ( with no drink ) I expected more than 4 small pieces of chicken fat. During this uncertain time we live in, people choose to spend money very selectively and support local businesses when they can, but I can't bring myself to pay 12 dollars for a small box of rice with chicken fat.
