Metro Taco Stop

I haven't had machacado tacos in a few years, since my friend back in Houston introduced me to them. I was looking for breakfast to go up by Bandera and Prue and remembered Metro Tacos is there. I had been once before- they are only open for breakfast and lunch, so their timing often doesn't line up with my eating out. But it did this time and I saw the machacado tacos on the menu and ordered a couple. The flavors were great- the eggs mellowing out the hot pepper, machada, and onions while still giving some kick and the machada gives the whole taco a satisfying body that is missing with many other egg breakfast tacos. So if you want yummy breakfast or lunch tacos (carne asada and carne guisada are both tasty as well), head on over and give metro taco a try.

We've been coming here for year's now. At one point we couldn't since we moved to another area but when we came back the owners remembered us as regulars. Now the food...simply amazing! The Carne Guisada is cooked to perfection. The chorizo and egg is probably the best I've had anywhere. Everything is seasoned well and flavorful. I'll continue being a regular.
