Cucina Basilico

I come here every time I come to San Diego which is 8 to 10 times a year. The food is amazing and since I make my own homade Italian food from family recipes I usually avoid Italian restaurants. This is the exception. The prices are reasonable the pasta is fresh the sauces are fantastic and the deserts are to die for. Highly recommend eating here

Delicious and Outstanding "AUTHENTIC" Italian food! Everything is always prepared fresh, with different new pastas freshly made daily to choose from too! It is the best Italian Restaurant restaurant in San Diego that my family loves. We have ate ate nearly a dozen and they always request to go here! Ask to be served by Pedro, he seems to be always working whenever we visit Cucina Basilico. He is an excellent server and ensures our food hot, out quick, and always attentive to our needs. ALL the other servers are excellent too, however, Pedro always takes our family to his section as soon as he sees us. Try the flourless cake for dessert, it is delicious. Every thing on the menu is great too. I have eaten "everything" on their menu and ALL is excellent! Buon appetito!

A hidden gem! The pasta is made in house and amazing! They bring out a tray of today's pasta options so you can see them to choose. The caprese and the burrata were excellent starters. For pasta I had a sundried tomato pasta with the norcina sauce (a cream sauce with sausage and caramelized onions), delicious! I also had the dessert trio, love the tiramisu. Service was excellent!

Found this place by accident. I love it I love it I love it!!!! Nothing you order would be the wrong order. You can just close your eyes and point to anything on the menu. The only down side is, the restaurant is not opening enough days of the week!!!😂 They are not cheap by any standards, but it’s worth every penny. Place isn’t big. So if you wanna go, better be there right when they open so you can get yourself a seat. Staffs were very friendly. All in all, I’d come back everyday until I try every dish in every combination. 😍

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Southern CA. I have had many business trips in the area and stop here every time. This time I was in town for the Air Show and was able to bring friends and family. They did not disappoint. Fresh pasta, build your own or order one of the menu items. Easy choice to give this a 5 star.

The place was busy so probably you should come early if you have big groups. Amazing pasta, their noodles everyday homemade you get to choose which noodles you would want and sauce . I ordered the clam sauce it was very good 👍 And their staff were nice and friendly. Very good service! I will definitely come back to try other pasta 😍
