Good NY Style pizza. I'm a New Yorker and the crust is thin and crispy enough to please my taste buds. Probably the best option over on this side of the hill. If you're willing to make the trek over Russian Hill, North Beach has the best pizza options hands down.

Delicious pizza and large slices but expensive. 4 slices of pizza: one pesto, two pepperoni and one mushroom and olive and a large soda was over $30. No joke. But it was absolutely delicious.

I always go here when in the city. Their potato garlic pizza is the bomb and I have always had great friendly service

Good New York style pizza. When you order a pie they will cut it into too small slices compared to their slices out front unless requested otherwise.

The crust is what Escape's pizza is all about. It is the closest to traditional NY pizza as you can find in San Francisco. Thin crisp bite but flexable. Must be folded to avoid drooping. Which is exactly correct.
For people whom perfect pizza is important, Escape from New York has the real deal.

My favorite Pizza in San Francisco. There may be better options out there, but I return again and again to Escape from New York Pizza. Thin crust NY style pies are all they serve. The crust is top notch, and their selection, while not super extensive, should suit most people looking for a good slice or two.

Big ol' pizza slices for a decent price. Escape From New York is a great place to go for some quick eats. I only get one slice, but if you are especially hungry you should dare to get two. A great place to stop if you want some quick food while perusing boutiques on Polk or a big night out at the bars.

I am so happy that this pizza place risked life and limblessness to Escape From New York. These guys brought San Francisco an oily, crunchy, thin crust pie that is always tasty. Gooey cheese and tangy sauce with a daily selection of new toppings - I LOVE (Escape From) New York (Pizza).
