Sam's To Go

In a word: DELICIOUS. I visited Sam’s today for my first experience. Greeted by the owner (remarkably pleasant) and staff alike, our party received excellent customer service. My Turkey, Cheese & Avocado was perfect! Great bread!! Everyone…bypass other options. Support this great local business. You won’t be disappointed 😀. Cheers.

Took some friends for lunch here. I knew this place 40 years ago but at a sister site by UCSB. I’d come here over the years but it had been quite a while. On a whim we stopped by. Just as good and fresh as I remember. The owner I presume was there and the people taking and preparing are order were wonderful. Will come again for sure.

Got food poisoning. Quite confident it was due to this meal because it was the only meal of the day. Had fever, vomited all night, and experienced all the horrible symptoms. Called to just kindly let the store know without any intention to take action. Only wanted to help them improve business. Person who answered was so unapologetic and rushed off the phone. It only made the situation worse and led to writing this review. Tread carefully.

Been going to this wonderful place since 1988. Classic menu items like ham, roast beef and turkey subs along with speciality items like their chicken club sub. Since I moved out of the area almost 20 years ago my number of visits dropped but still managed to go once or twice every year when I visited the area for work or as a quick stop towards LA to visit family. This time was special since I got to introduce my 18 year old son to the place that many times fed me during my early years in Santa Barbara. My son noticed the Burger items and right away knew what to order. My wife stuck with classic turkey sub with provelon. It's one of her favorites. Glad to see they are ok and doing well during this time of Covid-19. Highly enjoyed my visit and I'm sure you will make the long time favorite list for my son as well.
