Markey's Lobster Pound

Great place for lobster and other seafood items. Tried their lobster roll and Calamari and both are delicious. Quantity and quality of the lobster meat on the lobster roll is great. Calamari tasted so good with cocktail sauce and the tartar sauce. Both the sauces were homemade. Seating area is huge with many different views to the water views, street views, and private booth tables. Definitely recommended.

I had a Groupon voucher so I 🤔 thought I would give this family restaurant a try. In the summer, this restaurant is popular and busy every time I drive by. There are three counters to order from. One for beer 🍺 and wine 🍷, one to order lobster 🦞 and one for the menu. When you receive your order, you seat 🪑 yourself. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Take out available. I ordered the fish 🐟 chowder for an appetizer and the baked haddock plate 🍽️ with fries for my meal. The fish in the chowder melted in my mouth, though I thought the broth was a little weak. The haddock was flaky and cooked just right 👍. Both tasted good 👍! Menu is small, which makes it easier to decide. Sitting by the window watching the sunset 🌇 over the water 💦 was enjoyable. My only issue was portion to price. The portions seemed small on both. But, with current inflation on, well, everything, I'm not going to gripe. A 20 ounce drink costs over $4, but, it includes refills. They were able to process my Groupon certificate. I liked this restaurant.

I am only giving 1 star because I can't select zero. My wife and I ordered baked scallops, fish chowder and steamers. The scallops were over cooked, the steamers were under cooked and I've had better chowder from a can. Markey's used to be our "go to" place for seafood because the quality was second to none. This is no longer the case. We are now looking for a new favorite. Browns is on the short list of possibilities. Very Disappointed.
